I find it wierd that a lot of t.v. shows, magazines, etc... make it seem like most women want that anorexic look (I know a good amount of women do) but I feel like all of the women women I know want a more curvy look (not curvy in the way fat people use it but as in having some junk in the trunk and breats)
How about all of you?

I think it's strange, too. The fashion and ad industry seems to promote the anorexic look on the runway and in magazines, but nearly everyone else, including me and everyone I know, thinks women look better with some curves and softness. That's how we're supposed to look! Curves are good things. They give the people we love something to cup their hands around!!

I love my love handles, I'd rather have those than stick hips.

hmmmm I like the skinny look where you dont look like a 9 year old boy and you still have your hour glass figure and your boobs

The anorexic look is popular on runways and for clothes ads and stuff because literally, the girls are hangers with a pretty face (and even sometimes, not so pretty). On runways they either have extremely outrageous hair and makeup or none at all as to draw your attention to the CLOTHES not how pretty the girl's face is, yanno?

I've got curves and junk in the trunk (and bewbies!) but I'm lookin' to flatten out my belly, not look like a 9 year old boy.. I dig it, reb.

Yep, you're totally right about that BFA. Those girls look like hangers on the runway so the clothes will be the standout, not the girls themselves.

When I'm at the weight I want to be, I have curves, too, and like that about myself. Right now that's not as easy for me to achieve, but I'm still not runway thin. Just thin compared to what I normally am. I worry about women who want to be stick thin. Not a good thing. Of course, I worry a whole lot more about the increasing numbers of folks who're at a deadly level of obesity. I think everyone in health care worries about that.

im surprised that advertising hasnt caught on that most males arent into the heroine look anymore. dont get me wrong i like a fit girl who takes care of herself. but i sure dont want her to be overly obsessive about her weight.

I hate weight ... I'm pretty slim myself I am about 5'9 and 125 lbs, but in the start of the year I was about 115 (because I was on adderall and I didn't eat as much) and while I was that skinny I wanted some of my ass and my chest back ... but not that I have all that back I feel like I need to loose weight because I gained it.

I don't like the "model look." I realize how much work it takes to look how they look, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I prefer women with a little extra baggage. Not so much that they're corpulent slobs, but enough to grab onto when I'm cuddling, working the mojo, etc.

I think curvy women, especially celebrities like America Ferrara, are absolutely beautiful. I'd kill to have her perfectly placed curves!

The industry of fashion, to me, (especially outrageously expensive brands, like Versace, ect.) is nothing more than some fluffy business with slave-like workers focused on the whims of some 50-some year old guru whose face looks like it's made from some kind of unearthly plastic...

Who actually thinks some of these so-called "fashions" on the runways even look remotely wearable?

i guess i'm gonna be the different one b/c i LOVE the model look. i dont know why but this past year and a half ive really become obsessed with it. i think curvy girls look good, but i don't think there is one look that every woman should be like. i want to be pin thin. i know guys like thicker girls, but everything is not based around what guys want. i'm not gonna try to gain 15 pounds so i'll get more hollas from guys who don't know me

I'm 5'3 and my healthiest weight is about 135 when I am working out. I was about 120 when I got pregnant, but I can feel fragility when I am that size. Now I'm about 160 with the twins in the belly, but I like my extra weight (and size D boobs and big thighs and butt). I think a lot of my preference to being heavier is having to fight off predatory males when I was growing up.

My family is full of thick, muscular women too, so even my size is skinny to them. I guess it's whatever you feel comfortable in. I really don't care what people think about how I look. Hubby just happens to like me as I am, and that's all good with me.

models look like they're so fragile.. and you know those runway wipe outs im afraid they're skeltons might shatter and so ends they're short lived modelling career. lol.

no but i dont find bodies like that not evne slightly attractive. i like some meat and curvies.. models just like skin on bones.!

yah I am gonna have to go against the masses
i love the model thin look
that is what i find attractive;
which scares me, but that is how my brain is trained to see beauty.

I am also one of those girls who loves fashion. And not fashion you see in the mall, but true works of art [lanvin, dior, ysl]. These amazing clothes never look the same on an average body type, which makes me feel that the normal healthy body is mundane and undesierable

See I like the thin look, but with muscles and tonage. If a girl looks like Katie Moss, that's so unattractive.

I can pretty much find beauty in any woman. But given a choice, I wouldn't go for the model look. I like women to be thin but healthy looking, with nice curves. If I wanted someone that looked like a 10yo boy I'd lurk around the local middle school. That's what I always tell my wife. She's Chinese and she gets crap from other Chinese for being big. Shit, she's 5' and 95lbs. There's no fat on her, she just has a nice ass and chest. A rarity in China.

What about the male models you see in mags like GQ or Esquire? They're even worse. Really, who do these models appeal to? They look like aids ravished heroin junkies. Shit, even if I was gay I don't see how they could be considered attractive. I just don't get what they're trying to accomplish.

I like anything that's not more than about 40 lbs overweight, or 15 lbs underweight really. I love chunky girls, and I love thin girls. I love blondes, brunettes, redheads.... Why not just stop and say I love women? :P

I'm torn, depends on the girl and how she carries it. I am curvy. Not fat at all. I am an american size 4-6.I have 34D breasts. I would like to be a solid size four and loose about ten pounds which would put me at 125, and I am 5'8. I look good at 135 but feel more comfortable at the lower weight. I'm bisexual and like girls of all shapes. I guess I prefere a little thicker to to skinny. I don't like ribs showing or anything unless its only when they stretch out alot. My bf likes girls with meat on them. I mean like 40-50lbs overweight. Thats cool I guess if I ever get that way, but I like girls that are just about their right weight or if they are spinners they are just small all over, not bony.
I am rambeling. Sorry. I think I just got high. LOL

ive dated a range of girls. from overweight to aneorexic and all in between. all women have beauty. the model look pisses me off because as clearly shown here, the majority of average dudes dont find it all that attractive.

Skinny chicks need to eat a fucking hamburger for Christ's sake. I like thick chicks, but not TOO fat. I really shouldn't be talking, but whatever.

It's sad...how they portray it as THE norm but not A norm. BTW, I'm quite thin. To TheFatKid I'm sick of the fucking hamburger joke, seriously dude. Unless you are over 200lbs I could probably out-eat you..... Well you name does signify that fact...but I digress...

Once I had a guy tell me to leave a hokey bar around here because I was 'too skinny'......and no, I had not even talked to anyone there including him before he said that....

I've had several people (friends, people on the street, family) tell me I'm too thin......My answer to them is, if I was a little fat, would you tell me?
Usually thier answer is no.

It hurts skinny ladies feelings too KWIM????

And I do have some curves.....I paid for them -literally- so they better be there, ha ha.

I like models but not the ones that are 85 pounds. I like sexy looking ones like these:

That Barbie Girl can't be mopre than 95 pounds....... I'd say 15 pounds are in her tits.... she is hot though..... shes got the Cristina Agulara working for her...

I see what your saying though Runway Gurls do look extreamly thin....

The sad part is God Or whatever power at being you believe gave us this... Its not like we got to go to a store and Choose what we wanted... Like if I got to pick my Package you know I would have picked a smaller one,,, Just as im sure some gurls would pick smaller Tits or bigger ones,,,, Depending on how they like it...

Its sad that they made slighly over weight "Obesity" And then as well they Came up with 10000 was to Cure for the Disease....

I like gurls with all body types but overly thin Is pretty dang gross...

plastic surgery gone wrong...

Yeah I always thought that too... like, a vain ass bitch like her, being born with a giant nose, that shit would have been gone before her 'coming out' party... on the other hand, maybe it IS Paris' Schnozz V 2.0 and if so, I'll be on the lookout for V 2.1 and subsequent.
Maybe her new cell mate will like it... nice and pointy.. for that extra stimluation...

i feel that, im 5'9" 140 and 34d-29-40 so i am fo sho thick but i have a nice figure, very curvy but not the way "fat" people use it, i have a thin waist, wide hips and big boobs. im just very very proportionate

birdgirl73
09-03-2007, 06:12 AM
^^ Heck, I wouldn't count that as thick, just as just right. That's the way I used to be when I was "fluffier," and I loved having curves. You've got a healthy body type, BentleyGirl, and you're gorgeous, to boot!

i'm sorry for being so blunt... but forget the model look.

you'll hear this from everyone trying to give you the best advice but coming from a guy that has had many looks, what matters is whats in your heart.

dont fool yourself by being with people you feel uncomfortable with.
and people that don't like your body will make you feel uncomfortable.

find that guy that appreciates your body, mind and soul(heart) and keep him. and if you feel like it, try and make him as happy as you can.

i mean, i think that's what relationships are all about..
making each other happy.

The only time I find a womans body shape to be unnattractive is if she has made herself unhealthy to get to that point. And the signs are usually pretty noticeable. Other than that, whether naturally skinny, "perfectly proportioned," thick, curvy, whatever... Its all beauty to me. And even the girls that starve and purge themselves.. I dont feel disgust towards them, more like empathy and pity and sorrow for their non-existant self esteem.

i just wanna be skinny. there's 6 billion people in the world (last time i checked anyway lol) somebody likes what you have. so if i get down to about 114 on my 5'7 frame i'll still be attractive to somebody. that's why i'm over caring what guys think

I like small waste, hips, and thighs on women, but that is hard to find. My ideal is a girl about 5'0" to 5'6" tall and 90 to 120 lbs. I am 5'10" and 175 lbs. I just FEEL bigger and more massive when I am with a smaller girl.
