:microwave: So here is the project:

Follow either the President, Vice President, or Speaker of the House from January 11-April 8, collecting at least 1 news article a day about them. One a day is a C (70%) grade on the project, so I am doing 120 articles (121 to be exact). After you get all the articles, you have to write a short summary of the article.

Then all this other biography, rating with the public, rate websites, and a nice 2 page paper to finish it up. There are a couple other things but that is it.

I just printed off 121 articles about George Bush and I never knew how many people hated him! So many people are trying to basically keep him president but cripple him politically so nothing he does has any effect. Well I am about 1/2 way with writing summaries and I want to blow my head off!

After I finish this project in like 8 hours I am going to smoke 3 big bowls packed to the rim and get soooooo :S5: :stoned:

What projects do you guys/gals have for school/work coming up? Mine is due the 11th so I am trying to get it done early for the first time in all of my high-school career.

I'm guessing you knew about this project before Jan 11th...

That isn't that bad, and a two page paper is nothing. If the teacher gave this to you yesterday than that is messed up. But if you had three month to do this, you should have known better than to try and finish three months work in one night.

Just suck it up and do it. I'm not insulting you though, I procrastinate as well. I actually work better that way and I can't motivate myself to work on something unless I'm racing against the clock.

It isn't a horrible project though, you know know a lot of info about our current pres. It sounds like you have a decent techer.

It is due Wednesday, so I am getting it done tonight.

I knew about it starting January 11th, but of course I didn't start until last week! The 2 page paper is easy, I wrote an 8 page pursuasive essay on WHY to re-elect Bush, not talk about a hard paper...

It just sucks that the project is sooooo big and worth 20% of my grade. I miss 10th grade where all I had to do for World History was study for the AP test.... so much easier.

andrew jackson was worse

James Buchanan was definitely worse.

He was a good political leader in the wrong time, and because of it, did nothing to stop what eventually led to the Civil War.

Bush isn't the worst. Not even close. ~

I am finally done! It is due in 40 minutes too :D

I smoked some cannabis (just a 1/2 bowl) to celebrate finishing the project. I ended up smoking alot and drinking alot of coffee last night and early this morning to finish most of it.

Congrats.
I have a 15 page paper in American studies,
5 page ethnography due next week in English (haven't started)
A very stat heavy book (Who rules America) due next week also.

So Hopefully i keep my current pace of doing a a little work every night, if i procrastinate anymore, im going to be pulling an allnighter like you. I'd really like to avoid that.

BTW, that project sounds pretty effin' lame.

When I was in high school, I put off everything to the last minute. Same with college. I have NEVER failed to turn in an assignment on time, and my best work comes with procrastinating.

Trust me, it gets WAY better in college. Maybe a project or two, but mostly just a few papers and exams.

I have always met the deadlines. I have never missed a big paper or anything from procrastinating. I have stayed home from school to finish a paper that was due in a later class, but that is the worst.

Time to celebrate and go to the headshop!

Guys, the last time I was in college, everyone thought I was crazy for starting my term papers about 3 weeks into the course. Come the last 3/4 of the semester, everyone else was freaking out- term paper and finals! Me, my paper was done aside from the last minute "tweeking". (I have always found it to be good to put my papers down for a week or two and then re-read them for errors and a bit of re-writing) I had plenty of time to study for finals and get stoned. Everyone else was going crazy trying to do two things at once. Oh, yeah, my papers were usually A's and I graduated with honors. Don't put those papers off- there are some folks who work well under pressure, but most of us don't! Get started early and avoid the stress!- Granny:hippy:

I envy you storm crow. I wish I could get papers done like you did.

And one more thing:

Ahahaha... oh god I feel bad for laughing, but our theater department at my school performed To Kill a Mockingbird and they had a retarded kid play Boo Radley.. *smirk* *tries not to laugh*
