Tap Water 430PPM

a friend wants to use his tap and its at 425 PPM. If this sits for a day or two, would it be OK.

Does this person wanna grow in hydro or dirt ?
Either way the ppm is crazy high , my tap waters only 80 ppm on average . They need to invest in a good R/O system I think .
