I'm finding it really hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Every night it just gets worse and worse. Like last night, I went to sleep at 12 then woke up at 1 and never went back to sleep. Over the past week i have gotten about 4 to 6 hours of sleep. Any advice. Yea and i really don't wanna take sleeping pills or go to the doctor.

I think there might be something in your life that is causing you to have this problem.

for the past 2 weeks i've been having problems sleeping as well... i'm a severe insomniac so i'm kinda used to it.. but i have been to a dcotor and have a RX for trazadone... which could easily be used as a horse tranquilizer... i take it, and in 15 minutes, without problem i do end up so sleepy i can't stay up even if i wanted to (i'll literally fall asleep sitting up) but after an hour or so, even while it's still strongly affecting me, i'll wake up... and can't go back to sleep...

I dont sleep much mabey 3-4 hours every 24 period. Sleep is over rated, I got friends in the miitary they say they sleep the same 3-4 hrs mabey a 1/2 hr. cat nap somewhere. They are alwys PTing and busy, like me(except for the constant PT), Hell right now Ive been up for about 26 hrs. the body only need about 2 hours a day of rem sleep to keep you sane all other sleep is used to heal your body, I try to meditate(meditation can heal while you are awake), like right now Im getting sleepy, before I fall asleep I will prepare my mind/body and chi for it.:pimp:

For me, before I started smoking it took me on average (1) hour of tossing and turning a night before I could finally fall asleep every night. Now if I smoke within 2 -3 hours of sleeping, I fall asleep in a minute or two. Sadly, it sounds like this doesn't work for you.

realy?! wow, i was on trazadone for a year, and i swear, i never ever felt the slightest effect. weird... pot is the only thing that has ever helped me sleep. alcohol sickens me, and knock me out, so i shy away from it, and other sleep aides don't help me, they just make me groggy...

sorry for the rant...

you're not the first to tell that shit doesn't work.. and keep in mind, this is coming from someone who can take like 10 benadrlys, and still can't go to sleep o.0 .... this alone makes me realize and believe diffrent medicines affect diffrent people, diffrently.

usually nothing can knock me out.. but i resist taking my trazadone cuz it knocks me out, but at the same time, leaves me with seriously horrible shit the next day... re-occuring nasuea, i can't breathe for liek 36 hours (out of my nose alteast) i feel out of it, even if i sleep 14 hours, i still feel like i got about 2..

my trazadone is a last stitch effort... when i take it... i've already taken up to 12 benadryl, and about 2-3x the normal adult dose of nyquil.... both failing... i hate that shit....

i feel your pain. ive had insomnia for a few years now. I started off with 50mg trazadones then they gave me 150's. now the only thing that works for me is a strain i bought a bag of awhile back. i kept some seeds and about 3 tokes before i lay down and im sleeping in 10 minutes. too bad i cant just send you some haha. i deffinetly would.

ive been smokin some chronic for the past 6 months (half a g to a g a day depending on my mood) and ive finally decided to go cold turkey so i can readjust my tolerance level. its been 5 days now and its been a bitch tryin to go to sleep. i was wondering if i had become dependent on mj or if this was normal since ive stopped smoking so suddenly. i just want to know if ill go back to the same sleeping routine as i adjust to this fuckin abstinence from weed.

Yeah, it would certainly be good to rely on a potentially physically addictive substance to get to sleep. Maybe you should go see a psychologist? Don't see a psychiatrist, they just prescribe you shit. There might be some underlying problem that is causing this. 4 to 6 hours of sleep PER WEEK is certainly not enough sleep to function during the day. Sounds like you're an insomniac, now that I think about it. Try working out, like running, every night... to exhaust yourself. I think it might help you. If not, you should talk to a psychologist. If that doesn't help, medicine may be needed, because something like this is not something you can turn your back on. I noticed that if I smoke weed multiple times per night, I will just end up falling asleep without even wanting to. You could try that, too... unless you already have. lol. You could also try growing your own pure indica...

I feel your pain, dude. I am as well an insomniac. I used to take sleeping pills when I was younger. They'd work, but when I woke up I couldn't stay awake, for pretty much the whole day. I suggest you exercise, A LOT. It'll tire you the fuck out, and it works for me :).

Just another thought... do you thoughts race? Can you not stop thinking about shit while you're trying to sleep, or even during the day? Have trouble focusing because of this? If so, you could have ADD/ADHD, and this can cause problems in sleeping. I have ADHD, and it only makes my insomnia worse. Check it out, dude. Like the dude above said, you could meditate to clear your mind.

It happens, when I was on Probation I stopped cold turkey for 2 months. And this was after a month of heavy usage due to being out of school. Eventually you will. Bein off weed is great when you get used to it. You wake up nice and easy and have a huge breathe of fresh air. Give it a week or two. Go exercise or somthin that day. The first week was pretty bad but just outa knowhere id sleep easier. And I would dream too. For some reason. Guess since I wasnt in such a 'stoned' state hahaha. I need to go to bed.
