a few questions

my "freind" is growing 10 fem blueberry and 10 Nevilles haze hybrids.
"he" planted them yesterday and has some questions. i would appriciate if you guys would help "him" out.

1. while the seeds are still sprouting ( just now coming out) should the light cycle be 24/0 ,18/6 , or something else.

2. Should "he" use any nutrients or rooting gel yet? if not when should "he" begin.

3. is tap water okay for watering them? (this is a hydroponic grow but they havent been put in the system yet)

Your time and wisdom is appriciated. there won't be a log for this grow but i will keep everyone updated.

1. veg for 24/7
2. rooting gel for cloning, which you are not doing.. nutes depends on the soil hes using.
3. safe bet to use distilled water over tap.

while in veg have at least 6 hours of darkness.. darkness= root growth..
nutes not untill the plant is big enough nutes burn seedlings very easy...
u can use tap if u let it sit out overnight open b4 u use it so all the impurities evaporate.. but yeah distilled is a better bet...

well its now six days in and they are all about an inch tall. A small amount of nutes was added and they are all doing well. the conditions are as follows
80 degress f
37 % relative humidity
24/0 light cycle under a 400 watt Mh

Questions
for veg >> the HPS or MH bulb?
When should they be flowered?
For the blueberry , do they need to be topped or trained? if so how?
what should be the distance between the plants and the light ( in a cool tube)

Please give me any advice you feel necessary, but only experienced growers plz... Thanks

i can answer one question for you, veg with the MH n flower with the HPS

STOP the nutes, this part of the grow is the hardest and you need to treat new plants like queens, no nutes for 3 weeks, just use plain water for now.

keep it nice and humid during the seedling stage(mist them) and cut back once they can thrive on thier own, im not a hydro guy i grow in soil but taken what i know i would think it also pertains to hydro.

as for nutes, when the PLANTS are ready give them only 1/4 of what the directions state per gallon.

they have been vegged at 24/7 light for 8 days.... would switching to 18/6 be okay??? and when should they be flowered???

switching to 18/6is good the roots grow in the dark,and you dont want to flower untill you see pre flowers unless you have limeted head room then you can faulse them when you want to :thumbsup:
