No cigs= Longer High

just wondering if it was in my head or real. i have started cutting back on smoking a lot after 12 years. im down to about 5-6 smoked a day, but it seems like i get higher and stay that way for a longer time when i dont smoke as much. especially after a good green toke i would smoke a cig, and now when i dont it seems like my high stays around longer. logically this would make sense considering nicotine speeds up heart rate. just wanted to know if anyone else had noticed this?

Tobacco dulls my high. There is a difference between a blunt high and a bong/pipe high for me. Its very obvious. Though I smoke them alot (blunts do well in groups), I really don't like blunts for this reason. I don't understand how some people could mix tobacco in their joints. That would be a worthless smoke for me.

i put cigs in my j's not a whole one....about an 1/8 of a cig but if im smoking hash ill put like half a cig in for two reasons.1 so it smokes good. 2 so it doesn't kill my throat

My friends used to always tell me to smoke menthols after getting high cause it gets you higher, I never did it to know if it is true or not, but now I know I got more money to spend on weed cause I'm not addicted to cigarettes like them....

My boy had been smoking cigs for upwards of ten years when he decided to quit (he did it cold turkey and hasn't had one in over a year!). He told me, a few months after, that he could definitely tell a difference in his high.

So you're definitely not alone.

The only thing I will smoke a cig for now is if I am stuck on campus for hours straight and can't smoke a bowl.

Nah, I would have realized which forum I was looking through when I clicked on a bunch of titles to open in new tabs and realized that it wasn't it the right place. I forgot which forum I was in when I clicked it so I responded anyway. I'd remember normally.

I don't blame weed for things usually, but something such as that I will attribute to it. That's purely just a short term memory thing, and mine suffers when stoned. That's not a bad thing, its just what happens, which is why I don't do anything that is too important and can't be fixed when stoned.

I really hate it when people tell me how I would act. I think I would know best, don't you?

I have never been a heavy smoker, but when I did stop all together it was great. I smoked a cig after I smoked some bud just for the hell of it a while back and it just made me feel so "toxic" from the cigs. It totally ruined my high and I will [I]never[I] do it again.

Mattks...when I quit smoking cigarettes, the comfort knowing that I can't die from something that I don't even want to do is simply enough. Addiction is shit...Been four months and eight days since I quit. I'm in perfect shape with plain old marijuana. Who would've knew..

I smoke half a cig after i get high, makes me feel light headed and increases my high a bit :D but even if I don't smoke a cig my highs still don't last more then 40 minutes tops anymore :(

So I would say, yes, smoking cigs does burn your high out faster.
