Well to start off, I've never really dreamed much every so often. I always have weird nonsense dreams.
So anyways i've been steadily toking up every night getting a decent high. And everynight I have a dream, none lucid though.
I just wanted to know if their are any real connections between cannabis use and dreaming. Or maybe just a heightened imagination, i'm not shure.

I've actually found at times that going to sleep high tends to make me not dream as much.

Cannabis prelongs REM Sleep. Your less likely to dream whilst high. :)

That's what I've found. If I go to bed high, I either don't dream or don't remember my dreams. I also tend to wake up sweaty and less refreshed in the morning too (8 hours later). But if I give it a break for a couple days, even a 5 minute nap is incredibly refreshing and can have crazy vivid dreams that freak me out. One night (after taking a break for a couple days) I dreamed that I was smoking a blunt filled with chopped peanuts and weed (and it hit smooth too!). But then I got the munchies, tore it open, and ate the peanuts. Now THAT's a weird dream!

cannabis seems to supress my dreams also, which is a good thing to me. i sleep so much better since i met mary jane. when i dont get my before bed toke it takes me forever to get comfortable and quiet my mind enough to go to sleep and when i do i have weird vivid dreams that wake me up. weed also seems to cure my sleep paralysis as well.
If I fall asleep about 30 mins into my high, or right at the apex of my high I always have very vivid, and/or lucid dreams. Usually I dream about girls, or have some just weird ass dreams... One I was in space, and there were these skull pyramids and some princess was on the end of them, and I had to save her by jumping across the skull pyramids, and they had like...elephant tusks on them....
By far the most random weird dream.
The only dream i can remember having was a little while ago - i had a massive joint at a party, a copper came ouside and dropped it and inside it wasnt weed, it was bloody oranges off all things - that was fucked up. I smoked a joint of fruit.

yeap! its your brain adapting to the REM sleep pattern returning! its why weed makes u feel slightly sleep the next day. your not getting the correct sleep at the correct times. when you sleep the brain activates a certain pattern of light sleeping and heavy sleeping the pattern goes haywire when your high.
Its one of the few facts that proves weed can have a negative affect, interrupting with your natural sleeping pattern.

I remember having a dream that someone had crossed weed with a baby banana plant, i was in Jamaica on a beach eating THC covered baby bananas! :D
Wow, weed seems to have a strong thing with fruits.

I usually will have some pretty killer dreams if I smoke a joint in bed. I'll wake up and think, 'holy shit', brush my teeth and completely forget what the dream was about. :wtf:
But I definatly have some pretty crazy dreams if I smoke before falling asleep, moreso then falling asleep not high. If only I could remember them!:rasta:
Oh yeah, I think the more intense and vivid dreams I had came from smoking a huge bowl in a bong before bed. Could have just been the dream, or maybe the bong had something to do with it. I'm just speculating here.

I never dream if I sleep after I've toked. It usually knocks me out like alcohol would.

Why do you think Cheech and Chong did NICE DREAMS
I don't dream on weed or they are really nice ones.
I haven't had any for 4 months and am having very disturbing and violent dreams now. I killed my older brother, that's son ( my nephew who turned me in ) the other night. I continue to hunt my nephew in my dreams. He cost me over 20 thousand and more than 2 years of my life. Also ruined my marriage, stil toghether but will never be the same.
My advice, toke up and happy trails and nice dreams to you.
