Anyone read these books? My cable got shut off for a few day's so started reading the first book. I had already seen the movie but really liked the book. I'm currently reading the third one "Life, The Universe, and Everything." I have found a new great series, once I'm done with these I will try and find the radio transcripts, I hope they aren't difficult to locate?

Anyone else enjoy Douglas Adams twist on life the universe and well... everything?

I've seen the movie a bunch of times with my ex-girlfriend. I had...some pretty good experiences...during the movie.

I own the movie. I fuckin love it. So weird, so unexplainable. Such amazing graphics when the guy was showin him how they 'make' planets. I saw it really messed up one night and it really fucked with me.

I read them all in 8th grade (4 years ago), so they are a little fuzzy to me, but I remember things like the huge speaker system that was best listened to inside a soundproof bunker and things like that. Really funny series, I have seen the movie too.

Read the books at least 48 times each...hence my quote.

Yup, they are very fun books to read, I have two and a half books left in the series. I read the first couple books in about 4-5 days, I couldn't put the damn things down.

So far I thought "The Resturant at the End of the Universe" was better than the first book. The third book is great so far though too.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've read all five books and they are, without a doubt, the best five fiction books in all of human history.

For once, I can totally contribute to you guys instead of feeding off of your life energy.

Its the same thing, but the BBC 1982 6 part series of the book/movie. I have it on my computer, and it looks like you can download the same thing at the link at the bottom. If you cant download torrents, search for it with your p2p or youtube or what the fuck ever.

I remember this from a long time ago. Its good to watch stoned. Gets a little boring near the last episodes. Totaly fuckin' 80's. Very nostalgic. I liked it a little better than the movie, cuz I saw this when I was younger. FUCK YEAH!!! I ROCK!!!!!!!

If you can use torrent files, check this out

hitchhikers episode || isoHunt - World's largest BitTorrent and P2P search engine (http://isohunt.com/torrents/?ihq=hitchhikers+episode)

I hope true fans of the books see this for the first time. You will see that the movie pretty much follows the format of the mini series.

Its always exciting when something like that happens. Just like my Famicom Metroido wave table experience (long story short, long lost shit I found = treasure)

I love Hitchhikers Guide I've heard it in radio form, seen the T.V. show, and read all the books, in my opinion the movie didn't realy even compare to the other 3

Just wanted to add that my birthday is on Towel Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towel_Day). :D

Last year I carried around a towel for 42 days the last day being towel day, I kept it pinned on the inside of my jacket, then on towel day I sat on my ass and played Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on my Apple IIe
