can you use regular light bulbs to grow, like the house 75 watt light bulb?

No incandecent light isnt efficient for growing .Try get ur self some compact fluresants cool blue for veg warm red for flower or a hid light meteal halide for veg hps for flower or have a search through the faqs great info on lighting or search the forums . be safe the postman.

alright, what about those appliance bulbs that you put in lava lamps? its 40watts, and its a lot brighter i can tell.

Ha ha ha ha No man you messing with me right lol.Love this site as i said mate fluoresant cool blue for veg warm red for flower or more expensive metal halide for veg and high pressure sodium for flower or find ur self some fluoresant tubes you know the ones that you get in shops they range from 1ft right up to 8ft they get bigger in wattage the bigger the bulb fittng . lol lava lamp lmao.the postman.

I have heard of lava lamos being used before but dont try it do wat the postman said bet you some tube flouros i have two garage fixtures with two bulbs in each one its seems to be doing alright im just goiong to add a couple CFL when i flower just look around the site you'll find wat your lokking for!!!!:rastasmoke:

why would you want to use a 70 watt incandesant or 2 40 watt floro's when you can get a few compact floros and more then double your light for the same amount of wattage?
go cfl more light same wattage.
