This is my first grow. Growing two lowryder classic in a 2'x2'x7' closet in 1 gallon pots of plagron royalty mix (supposed to be the best available) I am using a 200w blue spectrum cfl for veg and then will be adding two 125w red spectrum cfls for flowering (the bulbs are not the incadecent equivalent!) I also have a small computer fan for air and I have the door open with an oscillating fan blowing fresh air in during the light period (18/6 right through).
They sprouted 2 days ago and I havent watered yet but the soil is still moist enough I think...I watered well before planting the seeds which was 4 days ago.
All feedback and advice is greatly appreciated and I hope this thread helps people thinking of starting and/or growing lowryder.

WHOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!! Another Lowryder grow on the boards! I have 4 Lowryders, 2 that are 3 weeks and 2 that are 1 month old. The first grow is exciting. I love when I see a new set of leaves grow in. Good luck on the grow and they don't eat up alot of water!
That is a nice lookling soil mix
"It consists of White peat, Baltic peat, Irish peat, sphagnum peat moss and Black peat comprising 60% of the total volume. The remainder consists of 20% worm compost, 15% perlite and 5% bio super mix which is a concentrated selection of biological fertilisers containing minerals, bacteria, vitamins, blood-meal, bone-dust, basalt-dust, bentonite, seaweed meal, guano and lava-dust."
I think that you could get away without feeding them until they flower with that mix. Use some organic ferts and keep your plant healthy!

I'm quite interested in lowryder...I would certainly like to see what a cool tube and a closet would make about four or five of those into..

Anyone know when I should start watering? They have been planted 6 days and I watered the soil well before planting the germinated seeds. The soil is starting to get a bit dry but still some moisture when I put my finger in..

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here but...
Check out this thread at Marijuana Passion Lil Lowryder - Growing Marijuana Forum (http://www.marijuanapassion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9280)
This guy is growing LR#2 using CFLs only. Bear with the middle pages - lotsa unnecessary BS being said. He is almost at harvest though. Good info.
I'm really watching close on this. I have very limited space for a grow and paranoid as hell since I rent. But I'm be watching his grow log, and yours, closely. LR seems like the perfect strain for a stealth grow.
Kinda worried about this odor, though.
Thanks for posting and I hope the link helps.

My LR classic is flowering and I can't smell anything. I have to literally rub my finger on it and smell it to smell anything.

Looking good! I can't tell if that is a male or hermie but it doesn't look like a lady. They will show sex around day 20 for sure. Mine had big white hairs or big ol' balls forming at day 20.

Heres my only hope..still no sign of sex I think?? Not sure what the little hairy things are on the stem? They dont look like pistils..maybe someone can tell.

At week 4 now and still no sign of sex??? Is it normal that a plant shows it sex so late? They are supposed to show at 21 days and the other one I had turned out to be male on day 22.

I couldn't comment on it, I'm not familiar with lowryder at all, but I have a friend that has 4 flowers right now a couple days into 12/12 at like 8 weeks so far veg time and they have still yet to reveal their sex. just give it time, may end up being a bigger plant, could be a better yield..who knows.

if it's shorter and bushier, you'll get more light to your bud sites..
