ScroG?

Ok I was thinking about starting a ScroG regardless if I end up with males or not I think it'd be a cool experience and worth the try to get used to. Since I only have 250 watts of light I'm trying to increase my yield in any way possible. I might even use this ScroG method when I get 1000 watts of lighting since if it improves yields for 250watts I'm guessing it would help improve yields for 1000 watts too? Anyways what type of wire should I get to set this up and where should I get it from? That's the only part I'm really needing help on. I don't know where to get any wire from lol.

Chicken wire at home depot. Its got like 2 square inches between each thread. You dont need to use the screen until flowering and its still possible to get rid of males if you lst them.

Actually I'm gonna be LSTing this time around. If I get a hell of a lot of bud I might not want to ScroG that much any more but I'm just trying to find a way to get the most out of my light.

Yeah but I don't know if any of the plants that I have are a male or not. I just heard very bad things about ScroG and males. I might have to get some cloning gear so I can try and clone a female one time and ScroG because I really wanna try that out.

So you LST them and when they flower and you see what sex they are you just place the screen over them and let them grow into the screen? If that's what you're saying then that actually might work for me :).

pretty much yeah,ok

1st my plant was topped so grew into 2 main tops,about a 10 days after topping i tied the 2 main tops down to make a T shape,within 2 weeks i had a little bush with loads of tops,by now you should see pre-flowers,anyway i then switched to 12/12 then added the screen,for about the next week i pulled the buds back under the screen,towards the outsides,leaving little nodes and shoots below the holes on the way,i'll post some pics and you can see the progress and the difference that week of training actually made

:D This is very helpful. I'm not as experienced but i'm definitely gonna give it a try with my next grow because I've really been wanting to experiment with the whole ScroG thing!

Btw where did you get your wire and set up from. I really need to get that :jointsmile:.

the screen,well you know those little crappy plastic greenhouses you get?you know the metal frame things with the crappy plastic covers,cost about 10 bucks,that was what i used,the shelves made great screens and the poles and fittings made the support for the screen

though i have to say if you're gonna get something like this then cheapest is best,some of the more 'expensive' ones have better shelves,ie no screen or some poles crossing the screen to strengthen it which look like they'd get in the way,if you're gonna get one try and go for something with shelves like this
