ok, they're being snobby. If you want to smoke it, that's your business, but you never said you did. you just said you want to clean your pipes. I don't have any glass, and never have long enough to need to clean it (bad luck) but I've heard a few ways. The best I've heard so far is to buy some type of glass pipe cleaner and follow those instructions. You could also soak them in alcohol for like 20 minutes and then let the alcohol evaporate. I do NOT recommend you smoke it, however, since that is the worst of the worst in the scheme of things, although I think grit weed is worse. No need to call the guy an idiot, though, he heard the man's advice and decided he'd rather do his own thing. He has that right.
