I hate not smoking

you might or might not know it already, but I quit smoking on valentines day to snag a new job, since my hours werent so great and all that. today my boss told me that a bunch of people are getting fired and there will be more hours for me, and I have another review coming up so ill be getting a raise.

now I want to smoke but im scared that some swell job offer will come cruising by and I wont be able to pass a test.

what would you do?

job offers are offers..not something you just make happen. you can apply at jobs and all that, and have good interviews..but its not ultimately up to you to just get a job offer. duh.

i would smoke and if a good job comes along stop smoking for like a week and buy one of those $40 drinks that cleans your piss for a couple of hours. It worked for my sister so it probly will work for you. You might want to check that forum on drug tests and shit

i wouldnt waste the money on those drinks, id just use the dillution method if that were the case. its pretty much the same thing.

and dillution isnt even a surefire thing. but i might have to result to that.

I know how you feel. I havent smoked in a very long time, 1 time in 9 weeks. Im trying to get a job as well. I have a interview tomorrow I hope this one goes through cause I would really like to smoke.

yea man, i hate not smokin and jobs where they test you if your smokin. It would prob be best 4 u to take the job and not smoke but im not sure if thats what i'd do.

Anyways after a few days without it im fine, helps if i have something occupying me.

im not lookin for a job to get me by in life..thats what my biology major is for, and im already three years into that. also im shooting at an electrician apprenticeship.

i just needed a different job than the one i currently have because they cut hours and my pays not great..but now theyre giving me more hours and a raise so i dont even know if i really need a different job.

i wouldnt go back to smoking, id just get high with my neighbor or something.

edit: well ill go back to it..just not til i get my apprenticeship underway.

im thinking on payday this thursday im gonna buy a gram and share it with my girlfriend. we havnt smoked in forever it seems.

well 2 months but after so many years of smoking and then just quitting, you kind of get the urge.

i just want a nice citrusy bowl.

If you smoke only once, it won't last in your system for more than 3 days. If you get a job offer, you'll have some warning before they put a cup on you. For one, you'd have to sign the offer letter before they pee test you......

If i were you i would most definately not smoke, and i have been sober for toooooooo long due to testing. I used to beat weekly home tests by drinking lots of water (the day of the test of course), grape juice (again the day of the test), and consuming vitamin B. (I used to take multivitamin tablets which contained naicin and other ingredients which are in those detox drinks which clean out your system). But if you do that it is reccommended you drink a lot of water because it turns your pee very very very yellow. Also add a pinch of bleach granules. Good luck. rkd

Dilution is not always a good method. You can fail if they find you drank too much water beforehand (if a lab is involved).

Wow that's incredibly mean.

I always got a bit of either warning and stall them a bit while I prepared, or realized they were about to do it and turned a 180 on them.

When I got married, I needed more money than I was making at time, so I went to interview for another company and got the job, but they told me I had to quit my current job immediately, which was very rude in my opinion, I'm a firm believer in giving notice. But it would raised my wage significantly. So I told my old company that I had to quit because it was contingent on getting this other job. Instead of being mad, they made a counteroffer which was 1/4 more than what the other company offered me. I wanted a change of scenary at the time, so I went at the first day of orientation, filling paperwork and shit. While filling the forms, I realized I was about to be drug tested based on the language of their policies. So I left and went back to work, with significantly more pay and no test. :)

Thanks guys. I prob passed it but I cant help but think of the what if I dont. Its not like Ill get arrested I just wont be in the running for the positions they have open which will suck and I will have to abstain for a while longer until I finaly do get a job.
