Ok guys I usually grow two plants in my grow room at a time about 3.5 to 4 footers and it yields usually around 6 ounces give or take a few grams (grapefruit) I was wondering if I grew 4 smaller plants if that would yield more. I have limited space in my room and usually grow in 5 gallon buckets.. Just if anyone has any ideas on this, that would be great! Thanks

i think the biggest question would be lighting. i mean i'm in the middle of my first grow now, but you could def cut down on the 5 gal containers to opt space. 3 gall should work fine mine seem to do just well and are a good 2 feet. so as long as you have enough light i would def increase the number of plants

Over how much time? You're leaving out an important part of the equation. A 4' plant is awfully tall for an indoor grow and my guess is it's at least 3 months old (closer to four) and without training is a month in veg too old for an indoor grow.

its easier to make more bud with more plants

it was in veg for a month because I was away and my roomie didn't know what to do so he left it there. On these grapefruits I flower for 8-9 weeks. I usually have 4 foot plants in the end anyway and they do fine. Real fine actually. I have a very tall grow space with plenty of light to accomodate them. I was just thinking about putting more plants and flowering em much much sooner buyt wondered if the yield would balance itself out or if I would actually get more double the amount of plants, just smaller.
actually the plant I have that is 4' tall now is about a month and a half old, well a month and 16 days to be exact. I vegged it a month and it has been on 12/12 for 16 days and will probably be closer to 5 feet tall if not a bit more when done

I had 7 plants in a 4x4 space under a 400w light after a month of veg I got just under a pound, my largest plant brough in 85g for my first grow.

sweet! I think I got my answer there. I have a 4x3 foot space but I also have a small dehumidifier in there so I could probably get 5 with one on top of the dehumid.... I am going to try it out thanks cuz I am bringing in off two about 6 oz... I need to bring that yield up... thanks a bunc.... how tall were you plants when done? and were they squished together pretty good?

Squished in pretty good but they made it nicely. I added some flour tubes in the corners. They were about 2' tall at finish, but this batch went in about the same size and they are exploding and already about 16-18" one week in, So I'll keep you updated.

Sorry flourescent tubes. I finish my grow in 3gl pots, might have to get 5 gl cause these girls are growing inches a day.

Thanks chronic.
