Optimal Volcano Temperature

What temp do all you Volcano users start and finish on? I have found starting on 7 and finishing on 8 to be best. Anyone know what temp the active ingredients in MJ are active at? Speak up people. Peace

The answer depends on one question. What do you plan on doing with the weed once it's been vaped?

If you plan on cooking with it, then you'll want to try to save some THC as well as most of the cannaboids, seeing as how they aren't vaporized when you smoke out of the volcano.

If this is your objective, then start on a moderate setting of 5. After taking a bag, turn it up to 6 and hit it again.

If you aren't trying to save any "re-fried" weed as some say, then simply turn it up to 7 and let er' rip. I'd even recommend taking another pass at 7.5 when yer done.

An interesting thing to note: When vaporizing weed, everything that's left over is already "activated"--meaning that you don't need to heat it up and dissolve it into butter/ethanol before cooking with it. You could theoretically just dump a fat pile into any cooking recipe and have at it. It makes cooking with cannabis much easier.

Mostly, I only smoke kush out of the vape and we always set it to 5-5 1/2. Preheat for 3-4 seconds too.

Yup. You can also make the bud last a bit longer by emptying the bud from the filling chamber, shake/mix it up a bit, and then put it back in the filling chamber.

volcano is very efficient you get a higher percentage of THC than any regular joint blunt or bong for sure... i dunno how well it compares to other vapes.

I usually do mine at 6.5 and move up to 7. I pack very small bowls and usually only hit it for only 1 bag.

uhh... you sure vaporized weed can go into cooking? I am very sketched about doing that... I actually smoked a blunt of vaporized weed and my friend said that we smoked other chemicals and shit. My brain basically stopped working for 5 minutes.

I have an herbalaire and love it. Never compared it to other vapes but potential buyers should take a look. It works really well and half the cost of a volcano.

You get what you pay for, but certainly volcano is riding off it rep...

5.5 for a few bags when your vapor isnt thick anymore increase it to 6 or 6.5 keep going until the vapor stops coming out or it tastes like burnt popcorn shit

volcano blows me away at how efficient it is. one bowl gets me and two friends baked . three bowls gets five guys baked and a couple of bags to your own dome gets you backed. and you can smoke the leftovers...so badass

The volcano is extremely effecient.
Here are some numbers:
Joints/Blunts: 10-20% THC "consumption"
Pieces/Bongs: 30-40% THC "consumption"
Volcano: 95% THC "consumption"
I forget where I read these percentages, but I wouldn't doubt they are accurate.

Basically, after having a volcano for a solid 5 months, I've found that I save a ton of weed, its like I almost double my weed when I only use the volcano.

As for temperature, I've read numerous times, and from my own experience, 10 gets maximum THC extraction... Anyways, just think about it. Makes sense, doesn't it? And putting it at 10 means more vapors/bag, getting you higher, faster. Bag filling can get a little tedious.

thats incorrect. They found the contents inside the bad to contain 95% THC and the other 5% was natural oils from the plant. I think the extraction rate is around 46% which is still good and very efficient. Peace

but then people on here say between 5 and 5.5...

i guess they wouldnt have made the lower temps if u werent supposed to use them...

I checked the temp guide that comes with the CANO, and it says that 7 = 202 C, And that 6 = 190 C...

But 5 works pretty well... i dunno...
