I guess my heading really asks my question. I'm moving to a house which has a septic tank, and am wondering if I can cause damage to my septic system dumping it in there...
I know I could pump it on the lawn, but I don't really want my neighbors to see me doing that...

If you smart use the normal garden hose, with a water bed drainer and use it to suck out the fert tank. Watering you lawn with a little extra.
Putting in the tank will upset the normal groth of enzimes in the tank.

true, i suggest setting up your res with a pump that you can attach a garden hose to. everytime you change, you can feed your lawn or garden or flowers :)

I just feed the plants around the outside with my discard, they still like it so it does not got to wast.
