So my plants are getting to big for my grow space. The big one is currently about 2 inches from the top of my closet. Its allready taller than the light. I've heard that you can tie them down so its under the light, and the buds will grow up like fingers. I dont really want to hurt my baby though. Do guys have any good ideas on what to do. Cheers

tie the branches down...you should've done it earlier considering you're in a closet...my three in my closet..I've LST'd them so that they don't get crazy with height...and to expose as much light as I can to the budsites..

If you do tie them down, be careful not to break the stem...before tieing it down bend it carefully to ensure it'll move where you want it to..

[tie the branches down...you should've done it earlier considering you're in a closet] This is correct. Be very careful now in flower, as to much stress can hermi her. I would make some simple bows of her branches, but bending big mains....I'd be freakin!!!

Get yourself a roll of bailing wire from any hardware store and cut desired lengths of wire and hook them to the drainage holes then carefully bend plant down to the wire and loop it around a branch. Be sure to have a roll of duct tape handy for the branches that get bent too far, besides it's something every grower, indoor and out should have around anyway. It also might be necessary to brace up the trunk as sometimes they will break after a period of time from the added weight/tension of being trained but a 6" length of split-up-the-middle duct tape wrapped around it and taped securely will solve that problem too. Duct tape IS a must-have in every garden!

[what are you using for lighting?] In this box I use a 150 hps and 70 mh.

My other(small) box is a pair of 150's and a 70 mh.

[Get yourself a roll of bailing wire from any hardware store ] You can also use soft copper wire, and anchor around the trunk of the stalk, and wind the soft copper around the branch then you can shape it in any shape you wish.
I keep a roll of Plant Ties, you just pull out what you need, and theres a handy snip right on the packet, it's plastic coated....if that really means anything.
Another handy item I made for training, is to get 1oz,2oz,3oz, fishing weights, then dipped them in plastic tool coatings...I'll see if I can find a pic
