Protesters riot at British Embassy

Hundreds of students threw rocks and fireworks at the British Embassy in Tehran, calling for the expulsion of the British ambassador because of the stand-off over Iran's kidnapping of 15 British sailors and marines.

The demonstration stood in stark contrast to statements made by British government officials that they were looking for new ways to resolve the crisis peacefully.

Several dozen policemen prevented the protesters from entering the embassy compound, although a few briefly scaled a fence outside the facility's walls before being pushed back.

The protesters chanted "Death to Britain" and "Death to America" as they hurled stones into the courtyard of the embassy. They also shouted "the British spies should be tried".

I certainly don't agree with the Iranians rioting, but those are the Jihadists. I still believe there are a great many peaceful Iranians that want nothing to do with these gatherings, and just want to pursue their daily lives. I don't believe bombing these radicals would make for a safer world, quite conversely, it would only make more radical Iranians and syrians and palestinians, and Iraqis etc. "Bombing for peace is like fucking for Virginity", I read that somewhere, and it makes sense. The real solution to the crises in the middle east is to leave. They will not follow us home as the Dick and Bush keep telling us, they will be so glad to see us leave, the celebrations will go on for months. Basically all they want is for us to get out of their lands. Why do we care what religion they practice. We need to secure our vulnerable points and address our shortcomings on the homefront. The problem is, our leaders giant Egos will not accept defeat, even though it has already happened. We lost this war before it began. When we could not get a consensus from our European friends, it was over. It's now just a matter of how much more do we want to lose. Even if we were to win militarily (a prospect that most informed people believe to be impossible) we have lost so much as to make it negligable. We've lost (besides human life) world acceptance, hundreds of billions, our internal freedoms etc. We are now known as the world Bullys and about to be known as the worlds greatest assholes. The more bombing we do, the worse the worlds opinion of us. Are we no longer a member of the global community, do we live in a Neocons dream world? If the answer is yes, we are in dire straights.

I'm not a complete isolationist. I believe we need to get our own shit together before we invade other countries and try and start Jeffersonian Democracies. What a laugh. I saw on the news a couple a years ago an Iraqi asking a news person, "what is a Democracy anyway". Exactly! they didn't know and didn't care. The only ones that went for it were the ones that were going to be running things. The people were hyped into voting but knew not what they were voting for, "what is a Democracy", classic. The Radicals might be as you say, I've also seen the flags burning and the death to America rants. The difference is, I see that as a testament to our Government and our foriegn policies, whereas I'm assuming you take it personaly. If an Iranian or anyone for that matter was standing in my front yard screaming Death to Medicinal, I think that would get my attention, and if I deemed it a real threat, (I have a carry permit) I'd see if he was serious and if I really felt my life in danger, I'd take action to preserve it (MY life). See, I outgrew that flag and country shit about the same time as the government was lying and Johnson and Nixon were putting us through Viet Nam. After that it was not my government, but a bunch of lying scumbags that had control of the country, and it hasn't changed to this day. In fact it's gotten worse, ten times worse since Bush got in, so although I'll fight to defend My Family or friends, unless we're invaded, I'll not offer my services to this bunch of scumbags you call Government.
