O boy just reminising on my past as i do time to time thinking about the first time i got busted and thought id share it with everyone. I got very lucky. While I didn't know much about weed and laws back then aparently neither did my aressting officer.
Well I was on my way home from upnorth on a country road hadn't seen a house or store or road sign or intersection or any other cars or well anything just fields of nothingness with a road in the middle of it paved. So I had been doing like 105 in a 55 for about an hour straight road not even a bend or curve or hill it was just meant to be. of course who happens to be driving the oppisite way with their head lights off at dusk but a cop. well needless to say he busted a 180 quickest I've ever seen it done and tturned his lights on. So i start slowing down and pulled over to the side. Then I see a red dot going back and forth my dash then dissapear. Then he shouts step out of your vehicle with your hands in the air. ok so i do. then he puts me in handcuffs and told me
him: I'm restraining you, your not under arrest do you understand?"
me: not really but go on
him: it's for my safety"
me: so whats this about officer
him: you were doing 110 in a 55
me: o thats odd my car tops out at 107
him: and you know this why?
me: eh I just do
then he emptys my pockets and and pats me down. Putting everything on top of my car. Then another cop pulls up. then the first cop asked
him: mind if i search your car?
me: rather you didn't but I'm curious why do you wanna?
him: why don't you want me to search it?
me: because you don't have a reason
then he grabs the keys off the top off my car and so began the search.
first he opened the center consle. then he opened up every empty ciggerette box on my passanger floor. found nothing. Then he started turning all my empty pop bottles. found nothing. looked around at everything under seats and all that and still found nothing. Then I said what you looking for? I'll save you the trouble. he didn't answer me. So of course he gets to the glovebox. It's locked well he had the keys in his hand. so he opens it up and finds. a new never been used pipe. then tells me "this is probably cause I'm going to have to finish searching your car then your coming with me to jail". I told him " sounds like a fun days in store. " then he opened my trunk. since i had been up north for a week a had 3 book bags of cloths and books and toothbrush and whatnot. after searching the open space he opened the bookbags one by one taking everything out. And found a little less then a half. Then he told me "well between this weed,this bag(as he dumps my toothbrush and toothpaste out of the bag), and you beening so far from home your under arrest for possesion of marijuana with intent". I look at him "uhh intent? what the fucks that?" he goes on to say "intention to sell". ummm don't you mean intention to smoke sir?" then throws me in the back seat of the squad car. then for like an hour I'm sitting there listening to his shitty music as the two cops search the road the shoulder and around the outside of the car. after thats done we all drive back to the station a 45 min drive. then come the questioning. They read me my rights. the arresting officer and the head of the drug unit and the cheif of the station and me are sitting at the table in a room. Then they ask me this and that. I just sit there staring at them trying to give them the meanest look i can. Then they tell me that my car has been forfiet to the state. My 2 week old grand prix brand new. Then they tell me "we might be able to help you get it back". I asked hows that work?. they said "you tell us where you got it from and we'll see what we can do." sure you will but I'm a man of faith. And I say his names MR.P and tell them i don't know much then they ask me to describe him to them. So I start describing the arresting officer and this goes on for a while till they catch on. Then the arresting officer comes back in and and tells me we're going to the hospital for blood work. so we do that. The nurse at the hospital yelled at him cause he didn't want to take one of my arms out of the handcuffs so she could draw blood. then he uncuffs me arm and cuffs it to his. then it's back to the station. back at the table still cuffed in a locked room. I put my head on the table and went to sleep. 8 hours later they woke me up my dad finally made it. He didn't have to sign anything. They made me sign a forfieture notice on my car and another one for my money. Though they kept my cloths and everything. couple months later after having to pay half of what i paid for the car to get it back. And shockingly my bookbags are gone. my cloths are gone. my cell phones gone. my bank statements are gone. my system was gone. they even took out my radio. the possesion got dropped completly.odd that i had to pay to get my car back though. and they got me with o.w.i (operating while impared) bullshit charge i hadn't even smoked that day. but our law says if it's in your system your under the influence and it didn't matter that the reason I was arrested was dropped because he searched my car without arresting me, no probable cause, and no warrent. They still charged me with it. Then the judge tells me that she's taking my liscence for 6 months. haha Secritary of state sent me my restricted lisence 2 weeks after she said that and it was valid in two weeks. not that i could keep my car the points tripled my car insurance had thrown me off their policy. And every place wanted damn near 4grand every 6 months to insure me i had to get rid of my car. The car they kept for a year and had scratchs all over it and an extra 5,000 mile on it. I got real lucky that I got off the way I did but they still wronged me more then I was in the wrong. As I was speeding while sober. that didn't make me a drug dealer. It proved i was a dumb 16 year old. but thats the first time and only time I went to jail for anything weed related. And they fucked up my court hearings twice. the first time they hadn't read the file and my lawer started talking about it and they said they needed to reveiw the file. the second time they never sent the letter to my lawer to inform him of the date and the judge told me next time if he didn't show up the show whould go on. And since that day I've lost all faith in the justice system. Before that I thought cops were decent people just making the world safe. Not retards with guns. As there were so many mistakes that he made. All in all i filed 10 complaints against the officer.complaints that my lawer advised me whould be wise to fill out. Still waiting to see what happens as they are still being investigated.
