So I just downloaded the pc game Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic from a torrent on isohunt, downloaded through bitcomet. Honestly this whole thing is confusing me. I've extracted the files and there's about 25 (or so) of them, everything's been properly installed, but when I try to run the game it says "please insert the game disk". Now I've burned one DVD disk with the install files, and another with all the files extracted. Running either just gets me a message saying "please insert the proper game disk".
Does anybody know how this is supposed to work? I'd be very appreciative for any help on this.

hmmm, no there's no "iso file" that I can see. You're right, torrents really are getting frustrating, but the only other option I know of is P2P software and that's even worse.

GameBurnWorld- Downloading (http://gbw.ecyberworldcafe.com/dl.php?file=StarWarsKnightsOfTheOldRepublicv1.0NoC DFixedexeEng.rar)
download that, if everything's installed as it should be, you should have to replace the shortcut to the game, with the file in that download.
have any other problems lemme know, that's how no cd cracks usually work, so if it doesn't work that way, let me know and i'll figure it out for you.

I had the same problem..I downloaded a game from like 1999 (Babyz..hehehe) and I couldn't get it to work, somehow I got it to work though, I literally clicked random shit until it worked.

You either need a newer version of Daemon tools (4.08 is out now) or as affasd said, a no-cd crack. Since you don't have an iso image to mount, a no-cd crack is probably the trick. The download probably came with one, look for a folder called crack, or hack, or nocd or something like that. If not, hit emule or something to get one.
Go to the actual working folder of the game, probably in the "program files" folder and rename the main executable from "gamename.exe" to "gamename.backup" and copy the new "gamename.exe" to the folder.
That should be all you need. If not let me know and I'll tell you how to do the Daemon tools way.

would daemon tools work for a game i have the disks of, but to be able to use one set for 2 players? both the pc games i have i want to be able to get on and play either my wife or a friend, but i only have one set of disks and both games require a play disk (some games don't). so could it help me with that? if so how?

you're probably going to have to use a what's called a mini-image..I saw something about daemon tools...you can use this for virtual drive emulation. You can download a mini-image probably from GameBurnWorld- Cheats, Game Fixes, No-DVD Patches, Trainers, Covers, No-CD Files (http://www.gameburnworld.com) mount it with daemon tools, and as long as the game has been installed you should be able to run it
