ok... i wanna use the salt + alcohol method, cuz 420 is horrible now that its "all natural"

I just dont like the white mineral deposits that the salt leaves on the inside of the glass...

So my question is...

Should i use :

1. Epsom Salt
2. Morton's Salt
3. Sea Salt
4. Fuck off keep using 420 and just shake it longer

lol hey wont hurt to use them all. Have you cleaned the phx before? Because when I had the trinity one it was a biiiiitch to clean man. The percs were jammed with resin and it was hard to get out.

oh bro... i clean it every week... i cant smoke nasty bongs...


Problem is... the alcohol+ salt reaction produces a thin film of mineral deposit on the inside of the tube and perc... giving it a white-ish look.

The formula 420 removed alot of the white stuff but some is still there.

but 420 sucks cuz theyre now "all natural" and you have to shake for like 5 min str8 to get the resin out... whereas the alcohol makes the resin come right off.

I just need to know which salt is hard enough to not react with ethanol...

You could use a bathtub, or a large sink. Might be hard to save resin though.

thanks bob, I actually have the buddy already... but i rarely use it...

One time i tried to use the tiny magnet to clean inside the perc, and it basically got stuck there. I was tryin to get it out for more than an hour...

has anyone even noticed a white film on the inside of their glass...or am i the only one?

It's caused by a calcium buildup from the water..isn't it? The harder the water, the more calcium there is.

It's a hard water stain.

My bong has it :(

Thats what i always thought...

But the guy at my headshop suggested that i was using a weak salt (Morton's Salt) and it was reacting with the alcohol leaving the white residue.

Either way it sucks... i think im gonna put Draino or someother mineral solvent and just rinse it out real good...

I usually wash it out with antibacterial foaming dish soap after cleaning it anyways.
