anyways I have a silly question that will probably be answered by my friend helping me build it .. but how do the plants like.. hold up? I was looking at some pics and I saw rocks? hmm anyways I was just wondering if you guys could give me a link that tells you the stuff like number of hours they need light.. or if you guys can answer.. i will be using a 1000 w hps light... and I am getting clones to start off with ..

thanks

if I were you I'd definately make each of the things that holds the plants much bigger...unless yer only gonna grow small 1ft trees...the roots need some place to go

I can see roots growing down in the pipes and you getting a wet floor. Not real crazy about that design myself. ALl that piping seems like it's there to make a statement "look, I can read a tape, and I know how to use pipe glue". I'd cut holes in the lid of that container the plumbers nightmare is resting on top of, put net pots in there with hydroton, and use the plumbing skills to build an aero system under the pots. But, thats just my two cents.

Dude, go with a 5 gallon multiple bucket DWC setup with a gravity and control rez. With the slightest bit of plumbing knowledge to hook up fittings and float valve you could set this up. A chiller would also be in order. If you wanna grow hydro do it right the first time and avoid contraptions like the one at the top of the page that in 6 months will be in your storage closet with money wasted. If you want more info I can tell you what to buy and how to do it right. DWC will produce big trees with good yeilds. That 2 liter thing might get you something but will fail in comparison. Getting into growing can be very expensive when you break down the chillers ($400+), Lights ($300+), AC, Fans, PH controllers, TDS meters, Nutrients, and the list goes on and on. But if I had all the money I nickel and dimed away on bullshit I didn't need, I could by 3 systems. You go cheap, you grow cheap, Especially in hydro. Do it right the first time. Peace bro

These guys are giving you great advice, take it. Look into drip and bubblers or DWC (Deep Water Culture). If you grow big you will have some sting lines holding plants up. If you go 1000 watt get a hortilux or sunmaster bulb, you won't regret it. Do your home work and let these guys help you tune it in. Veg under fluro's it's cheap and just as good. Either 18 light 6 dark or 24/7. 12 hours light and dark to flower. Hydro is the bomb when you get it tuned in Good luck and welcome to the wet side. LOL
