used mg
MG is too hot for seedlings. You want a seed starting mix for starting young plants, with absolutely no fertilizer. No ferts for at least 2 weeks from the time the plant breaks soil. Your plants should live through it though, and in a week or two the new growth should quit showing the "burns" on the edges once the plant gets old enough to handle the nutrients.
MG is shitty soil though, you're better off going with something like Ocean Forest by foxfarms if you want soil.
Remember, pH'ing water is important too, you should order a starter kit like this
pH Control Kit at GardenWaves (http://www.gardenwaves.com/store/pH___Nutrient_Control___ph_Control___Testers___pH_ Control_Kit___333?partnerid=nextag)
Your plants will thank you for it. pH'ing is a simple but crucial step to ensuring happy plants. If the pH is out of a certain range, it locks up nutrients causing deficiencies even though the nutes may actually be present. They just aren't available to the plant unless the pH is right. (in soil 6-6.5 is good)
