hey all,

So at 11 a.m this morning, I go to the college here for an interview. I applied for the Heavy Duty Equipt. Technician apprenticeship course. I have to go for an interview to determine whether or not they'll accept me. This course covers tuition and books with no cost.

I am oh so nervous about this as my future income relies on it. If I don't do good, I'll have to fish out over $5000 for college. This, is virtually free though.

So wish me luck.

Thanks for the words people!

The worst part about it all is the waiting. Man I hate waiting. :p

Anyways, I'm off now as my interview is in an hour. I'm going to have a fat bowl packed for me when I come out of there. :rasta: I'll report back later and let you know how it went.

Take care. Peace.

Well I'm happy to say they accepted me after making me wait for 15 minutes. The questions they asked were so nerve-wracking. 2 interviewers with questions going back and forth. Not to mention the 7 pages of papers I had to fill out, and the 10 more for EI coverage.

I had a fat bowl waiting for me when I was done though. :p I'm so happy I just made a batch of brownies. I plan on eating one or two in a few hours. Mmmmm yeah *drool*

I start in 1 week though, so life is about to get nutty. 9-4pm for school, then I have to bike 4 km to work, get off at like, 6pm, and I'm done, so I guess it's not that bad.

I'm studying for my DL right now too, so I'll have that, but I'm looking forward to losing my mind. I really am.

Not almost free, 100% free. Books and full tuition are covered. It's being funded by the province as employers are hard up for new workers.

I save $5000 and get free schooling. :stoned:

School is going pretty damn good. Got 87% on the first unit exam, and I get the results back from the second unti exam I did on Friday. There is this one chick in the class and she's in a halfway house. The halfway house is upstairs from the institute in an old hotel, and she won't tell me why she is there. She's mega hot, but has a boyfriend :( but she's a bit of a bitch, so I wouldn't date her anyhow :p

Other than that, people there are cool and the school work isn't all bad. Not as heavy as I thought it would, plus I get student funding too. They give me $450 a month to go to class, and I have a card that covers 100% dental, eyecare, hospital care, and prescription drugs. It's pretty sweet. I could get hit by a bus and I wouldn't have to pay a thing. :p
