If you can't keep your hand steady lean on somthing to help stable you, sometimes I put my camera on a stack of books to make a kind of ghetto tripod

try putting your elbows on the table or something so it doesnt move as much, but i can tell its some dank.

You must have a really sensitive camera. My dad gave me one that is the same way. I never use it for that exact reason.

Make a rigged up tripod using books or something, or at Staples, they sell mini tripods for like $5 that fit any size digi. cam.

Just a suggestion, but I know how steady you really have to be to get a decent shot, but I would avoid holding the cam. at all when taking a picture. Put it down on something and try taking a pic. :)
