I'm about to turn my closet into a grow space. I'm starting completely from scratch. The closets dimensions are approx. 6 1/2 feet long, 2 feet wide and 8 feet tall. My question to you is what would you recommend getting with the space I have available. I have a rough budget of about 350-400 dollars. Tenetively I'm planning on going hydro so keep that in mind. Probably using a resouvoir rather then going DWC. Any and all advice is welcomed and incouraged. The lighting is probably my biggest inquirey.

Do you want to know what you need for a grow? or what...I'm not sure of the question.

where are you going to vent? are you in a apt or residential home? i think this will decide whether cfl or hid is teh way to go.

Strange size..only two feet wide...but 6.5 feet long. Almost sounds like you should go with multi Fluorescent due to money or two 150 hps for a littel more.
I'm concerned you will not have enough money to be safe...if that an issue where your growing?

its in a residential home. and incase there's any confusion as to how the closet looks, its similar to this diagram |_`_`_`_`_`_`|
Thats a horrible diagram but you get the idea. imagine that the "_" are the front of the closet (2 sliding mirror doors) and the " `" being the wall.
I guess its a standard closet that insn't more of a square shape, more like the ones that aren't too deep in, but run along the wall more. Am I making sense?
Second.. forget about the budget I mentioned. I just want specs on which lights are preferable. Venting will be the biggest issue I run into I'm guessing. I have a hepa-air filter in my room for my snake that accually keeps the room reletively fresh. Secrecy isn't too much of an issue, only would become an issue if someone snuck into my back yard and started peeking through my bedroom window. Not likely. I can also run a squirell fan leading outside the closet if neccesarry.

I always say if your doin a small cabinet/closet grow do soil. it's a ton easier.for light i would use a 4'x2' 8 bulb T5 light.lots of fresh/cold air.
