update from the "i hope i dont get fired" thread!

LOL so you all know i was worried i'd get fired cuz of a dumbass customer...

well...NOTHING ever happened because of the bitch....


BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT......


i got promoted from service clerk to Certified Photo Specialist!!! and i got a raise!!!! not a whole lotta raise, but still a raise....


on a weed-related note...one of my coworkers was just BS'ing (i KNOW she doesn't smoke) she was acting silly, and another coworker was like "yeah paulina smokes the ganja" and she says (with a blank, so serious its hilarious look on her face) "yes...i smoke marijuana"

right when she said this, our executive assistant manager walked up to do a count on her drawer and said "we're gonna be having some randoms next week"

i'm just hoping he's joking...i haven't really smoked in the whole year i've worked there, until just the other day, and now he's throwing the possibility/threat of a piss test out there...

Do you work for a major company? If so I think I know what store you may be referring too. The bullshit you are talking about reminds me so much of a little company chain store I used to work at... I won't name it in case I'm correct, and you would like to keep that hidden.

But yeah, what you just described sounds like the same shit I had to deal with for a whole 6 dollars of doing the managers work. Literally, I was responsible for everyones break on the shift, stocking, cleaning, counting drawers...

I was so happy to quit that place.

I hope they don't drug test you, but if they do, go out in style. I planned on singing a song I wrote about quitting over the PA system. But I ended up walking in one day telling the manager on duty I wouldn't be there that night. I don't remember what they did, but they screwed me over in a way I refused to give them anymore of my labor...

Congrats on the raise and the promotion, babe! Couldn't have happened to a better employee! I'll have my fingers crossed now that they don't do randoms. Sounds like that was probably an empty threat, though. Let's hope so!
