I just went on to the website for the local police force (http://www.police.gov.je/) and went on to the drugs section.. these are basically the pros and cons that they've put for Cannabis..
"Effects
It can reduce the ability to carry out complicated tasks which means that it would be dangerous to drive, for example, after taking it.
Inexperienced people using high doses, or taking it when anxious or depressed, may sometimes experience panic.
Like tobacco, frequently inhaled cannabis smoke will cause bronchitis and other breathing disorders. It may also lead to lung cancer.
Cannabis is not addictive, but users come to rely on it as a way of feeling more relaxed socially.
Cannabis takes effect very quickly. If it is mixed in with a drink or food, however, it is difficult to know how much has gone into the body. This can be very distressing, especially if alcohol is involved.
What It Does For You
Makes people feel more relaxed and talkative."
haha what a load of shite lol

This was taken from "The Sun" (yeah, I know, but wait lol)
WEEKLY SPLIFFS SEND YOU POTTY
Smoking cannabis just once a weekdoubles the risk of serious mental problems before the age of thirty, a study reveals.
Users are more likely to become paranoid or develop systoms like hearing voices and hallucinations.
The dangers are even greater for those who take the drug more often. And for users who have a family history of mental problems, the risk soars FOUR times.
Doctors said the evidence would finally quash the myth that cannabis is harmless.
The findings follow a study of 2,500 people aged 14 to 24 by researchers at Maastrict, Holland. In Britain, cannabis was downgraded from a class B to class C drug in january.
Last week figures showed 40% of 15 year olds in the UK have tried the drug - more than anywhere else in Europe.
Marjorie Wallace, of mental health charity SANE, said: "Britain's position as the cannabis capital of Europe could have disturbing consequences. Evidence is mounting that cannabis can trigger lifelong mental illness such as schizophrenia."
We will notice that the 'institute' in Maastrict is not named - ie, it is probably a pharmacutical(sp?) establishment
And that "family history of mental problems" is usually a given hereditory danger anyway, isn't it?
You gotta love 'em, aint ya!
I know plenty of people who have smoked for decades, and most of them are very highly placed in the social heirachy -and are of very sound mind...
Cuh!
Go back, and try again, you twats!

Every relative on my mom's mother's side went quite loco after 75 years of age.... Though my dad's side is quite competent...

I posted it because of the completely biased stance they take.. A big long list of unfounded negative effects, and then "it makes you feel relaxed and talkative" is the only positive effect they have.. no wonder so many people think pot is evil
