I just opened up a new checking account....Shit I already have 2, but whats another checking account anyway, right?

Well the reason I did it...is because they are offering a FREE 5.0 mexapixel Canon Powershot camera to anyone that opens up a new checking account. That sounds pretty sweet to me...cause my 6.2 megapixel camera is like 3 years old and dying on me..

The checking account is FREE too...you just have to make 20 transactions by june or you don't get the camera...

OOh..I also transferred all of my credit card balances onto 1 credit card that has no APR until NEXT OCTOBER.

I love free shit.

Anyone in the Pacific Northwest Region check it out(cause I think they are only located in the Pacific NW...

Yes...it is most definitly free..and since I am a student I got student checking which won't charge me to use ANY ATMS AT ALL!!!

Man I need to open up a checking account and a new savings account. I was hoping you were going to say it was like chevey chase bank or m&t or something.

Aw! Sorry! I wish it was everywhere so everyone could have a chance to get a free new digital camera!!!!

I have too many checking accounts...I'm starting to get confused..I now have 3 freaking checking accounts! What the hell am I supposed to do with that? ahhh...

I hate banks. I refuse to use them until I make enough money to warrent it. I end up bouncing checks and getting slammed with over draft fees when I have them. I'm soley a cash man. They were nice though, I ended up owing them 300 bucks because I went out of town for a month with my account overdrawn. I didn't know and wasn't home to recieve the letters, plus I never answer my phone unless I recognize the number...

Damn fees. I ended up giving them $125 and they closed the acct for me.

Thats too bad...I pay really close attention to all my accounts and use online banking and phone banking. I check my account balance probably 5+ times a day on all my accounts. I have over drawn myself a few times, but luckily my bank has been really kind to always reverse the fees. Also, I have overdraft protection...so even if I do over draw myself it doesn't charge me that much. Also when I do accidently overdraw myself, my online banking will reflect it soon enough for me to catch it and go deposit money.

I should keep a written log of my spending and not rely so much on the damned phone and internet banking..but alas...I have yet to do so. I seem to be doing okay so far. :):jointsmile: :jointsmile:

My online banking is like a 3 day delay,,,they try to tell me that is how long it takes over the internet... I can get a CC approval in like a split second online,,,bank gimmicks Pssshad...

Oh,,, and my savings bank does not even have a website,,,LoLzzz...

to ad insult to injury they can't even tell me at the teller window cause their screen does not update till midnight every night... they will accept a debit transaction at an ATM with no money in the account just to overdraft me...
