Hey people! I have been smoking cannabis for nearly 30 years, the last 10 years have been carachterized by a pungent hydrophonic [GM] variety that here they call "Super Skunk".
Since its arrival on these shores from the coffee shops of Amsterdam it has gained widespread popularity although the price has not gone down [£150 to £200 per ounce = $300-400 per 28 grams). It has been classified as Class A drug by this government which means that sentences are equal to those of users of similarly addictive chemicals. Luckily despite the quantities that have been through my hands I have never been in trouble with the law.
I don't drink nor take other drugs although in my youth I have tried just about anything.
Moving up to Super Skunk from solid hash or other preferred green varieties was not a choice but more of a necessity as my medical condition [emotional and physical stress, a slipped disc and haemorroids] had me opting for self medication when I couldn't cope and no other ailment seemed to compare in potency to wipe out the pain. I was using between 5 and 7 grams a day, everyday.
About 4 years ago I separated from my wife and children and was advised to go to a detox clinic where they persuaded me to go clean for about a year and a half. It was not as difficult as stopping the tobacco BTW.
I have always felt good and guilt free on a high, no paranoid episodes or hallucinations: cannabis has always helped me steady my nerves, enjoy music and social situations, reflect on my achievements as well as regulating my body functions.
As divorce proceedings progressed I went back to the bud and I still smoke up to 20 cigarettes p.d. instead of a chain of joints. Now I alternate smoke free periods to times where I smoke about two or three times a week. I often wonder if I will be smoking still in 20 years time but my main worry is really about what is in the tobacco. I haven't really enjoyed pipes or other paraphernalia as much as a well rolled joint!
Anyway, I am also posting a question with regard to hair sample testing, I hope to get some advice from the pros!
Thank you all and have a good time!
