Eat less. Exercise more. Lower your proportion of fat and raise your proportion of muscle.

Or is this a set-up for one of your jokes???

Ive gained weight since its been winter and shit... gained probably 10 or 15 lbs got a lil bit of meat on me now but im still by no means chubby or fat, i gotta start running and working out again soon.
I guess its just eating right and doing cardio.

eat healthy

exercise more

dont just do cardio. If you do at least light weight lifting (yes even you ladies too, you wont "get all muscular") your metabolism realizes it and kicks itself in the ass.

Eating is 75% of it. The trick is cheating, but not overindulging. Fruit, egg whites, fish, boneless skinless chicken breasts, lean beef, lean prok chops, veggies, etc. Don't eat processed foods, stop drinking pop. Acetyl-L Carnitine helps boost your metabolism, highest lignan flax oil is good too. Just eat right, you know when your eating something that isn't healthy, it's been fried, BBQ'd(there's a difference between grilling and BBQ'ing), creamy dressings are bad for you. BUT one meal a week, you can have whatever the fuck you want and it shouldn't effect you as long as you don't get like 5 double whoppers and an entire ice cream cake from DQ.

As far as lifting and cardio goes. It all depends on what your going for. They way I lift is to build lean muscle and strength training. Like today is chest and Bi's, i'll do 3 sets of 10 reps(3x10) at 225lbs on the flat bench, on incline bench i'll do 3x10 at 155lbs, decline dumbell press i'll do 3x10 w/ 65lbs dumbells, Bicep barbell curls i'll do 3x10 at 80lbs, hammer presses 2x10 35lbs, cable reverse curls 2x10 at 100lbs. That is pretty much how I set up each workout. I lift four days a week and do 40 minutes on the bike at a high resistance 3 days a week. I break the lifting down into legs, chest and bi's, back and tris, and shoulders delt's. You want to include atleast 3 core lifts like squat, deadlift, and benchpress. Squat and deadlift are the two most important lifts you can do period.

You have to combine all three aspects though to acheive maximum results. Eating right is 3/4's of the deal but cardio and lifting are an integral part too, plus you might even find it to be fun. I still don't like doing cardio, but I LOVE lifting. Get after it and don't get discouraged. I am 5'5" 190lbs. I was almost 230 in October. I had never weighed over 200lbs in my life and I knew something had to change drastically. I still have about 30lbs to go but I am so much stronger than I have ever been before in my life and even though I smoke and drink my cardiovascular strength has improved a great deal, I played a pickup game of lacrosse yesterday and I wasn't the one sucking air the whole time, it was great.

If you do get into lifting. You will want to try Kre-Alkalyn, it is better than creatine. I will swear by this stuff, it is great.

over the summer my weight was 265,, sence then i started smokin heavy and now im 205,, the worst thing to do is try to eat alot less because then you'll just get hungry and cheat,, instead of eating chips and other shit, have some yogert or some fruit,, if you dont like running or lifting do yoga or tai chi instead,, i do both and its extreamly rewarding

I too put on almost 10lbs over the winter. I don't do anything sport related during the winter months.

Right now the snow is finally gone, and this week, I have been biking 15km everyday. I only eat 3 meals a day, light snack like fruits or veggies in the afternoon, and no eating past 8 p.m. So far since Monday I have lost 2lbs. Not bad in only a few days.

The only liquid I drink is water. No milk, juices or pops.

So what you want to do is eat less, and more healthy choices of foods. Lifting weights and going to work out on machines is something you want to avoid right now. You want to lose fat, not gain muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat. You want to run, go walking, go biking, swimming is a great choice. Just get outside and get active.

Eat only when you're hungry, and in sensible portions. Don't stave yourself though as that will begin to eat away at your muscle mass.

Lose weight the haelthy way. Excercise and healthy eating, and you're good to go. Avoid beer as well and alcohol in large amounts. A bottle of brew pack 300 calories. That's as many as a light breakfast.

you don't need pills or fancy diets...

just eat smaller, healthier portions, more often, spaced out through the day. they say you're supposed to eat six SMALL meals a day.

Also, exercise at least 3-4 time a week...more if you can. If you drink soft drinks: STOP DRINKING THEM.

Hey, Cannabis. Running's great if you like to run. Any cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise will help you raise your metabolic rate, do good things for your heart, and burn some calories. The most important thing is finding an exercise you like to do and will do regularly. If you're interesting in losing weight, you'll lose more efficiently if you do cardiovascular exercise to give your heart and lungs a workout and get your juices pumping (and your met rate up) and alternate that with strength (weight) training to build muscle. Muscle tissue burns more calories than fat does--it's metabolically much more active than fat--so the ideal formula for losing weight is to build muscle while you're also increasing your metabolic rate/doing cardio and lowering your caloric intake. That is the magic formula.

Eat lots of small healthy meals throughout the day to get your metabolism up. Drinking water also helps. Cardio also helps burn fat.

Whatever exercise you are going to stick to is the best exercise.

That being said, weight training is a good way to raise your resting metabolic rate ("metabolism"). And running and cross-country skiing are great ways to burn lots of calories at one go.

Eat lots of fruits and veggies and fiber - they will fill you up without adding calories to your diet.

I just started taking a green tea pill (by New Chapter Organics) to try to lose weight better, we'll see if it works.

Not entirely true... but yes... in general, diet pills are dangerous.
Safe ones are:

Hoodia (pills)
Yerba Mate (usually a tea)
Green Tea (pills, or tea)
Antioxidant pills like Red Lightning, Coffeeberry extract, Grape Seed extract (basically powdered fruits and veggies, you can get them at a nutrition store)

All of these things will make you healthier AND help you lose weight without any side effects.

But NEVER EVER use things like Hydroxycut or TrimSpa if you are worried about health effects.

its simple put out (exersise) more than you put in (eat) and try and make exersiseing fun as in playing a sport or riding a bike through your favorite area or whatever you think is fun.

try this- i lost 30 lb of fat and gained 10 lb of muscle in the first 2 months. now i'm pretty fit.

1) eat healthy- 5 SMALL (handfull of food 5 times a day, but dont by any means starve yourself) meals a day. little bread, lots of salad and veggies, NO pop or sweets. keep a very careful eye on your diet.
2) work out either daily or every 2 days. make sure that if you work out daily you dont strain yourself too bad so your muscles have time to rebuild. i do 1h every day, mostly weights and bodyweight exercises
3) get some protein shake and drink it after you work out- it helps
4) drink TONS of water. not only will it get rid of the water weight in your body, but its also healthy and a good way to stop yourself from eating as much
5) do cardio every 2 days or daily. this includes biking, jogging, sprinting, etc. keep your heart rate up for 30+ mins and it will eat away fat like CRAZY
6) join some kind of sport or team. i do muay thai kickboxing and i enjoy it lots... great way to both keep in shape and learn something useful.
7) hold back when you feel the munchies, stoner! its hard to do at first but it gets easier and easier :)
8) i will repeat this, NO POP OR SWEETS/ JUNK FOOD. this includes ALL fast food. best way is to go to a grocery store, pick something healthy up such as veggies and lean meats and cook yourself something.

hope this helps!

remember- keep the motivation up or you will just get lazy and stop following your weight loss/ muscle gain plan. i went through this about twice before i just told myself "ok fuck this, im sticking with this and doing it daily from now on".

people have already said it, but i'll agree... eating correctly is the way to go... i try to keep the intake of carbs low and protein high... every morning i start off w/ a scoop and a half of whey protein... i usually have 2-3 shakes per day... also, if you are going to consume carbs, try to decrease them throughout the day, for example.... breakfast can be high in carbs, lunch = moderate carbs, dinner = low carbs... if you do this for the most part, you will see a change ESPECIALLY if you combine it with working out... get a gym membership to some place close by and try to get urself there for at least a half hour every other day... this is better than nothing and is a lot more than the average american... combine the lifting with some cardio sessions and you'll be on the path to fit sooner than you think

oh yea, i agree w/ biohazard, DONT DRINK SODA!!! that's the worst thing you can do... so much sugar and high in calories for a 12oz can... just drink water instead, i used to drink like 4 cans of mountain dew every single day... now i drink NONE!

quick tip. exercise first thing you do when you wake up.

since you have no carbohydrates left (your budy burns them all to function properly for sleep) then your body will burn your second source of fuel for energy, which is fat.

you will burn 3 times as much exercising at this time. truth!

then after youre done, eat a little to keep your metabolism up and exercise a little bit more later in the day.

Most of them are very bad for you, except a few of them.

I watched a show on it once, and 1 pill, 1 dose, contains as much caffiene as 30 cans of soda. That can cause future heart problems, gives you headaches, stomach aches, and insomia. It's pretty much a caffeine overdose. NOT good for you.

Just do it the natural way by getting excercise and eating right. Don't be a lazy person who wants to be thin for the wrong reasons.

When you lose weight, you want to be proportioned, looked healthy and have muscle tonage. You don't want to look like you'll be blown away in the wind.

The formula is really simple.

Either eat less, exercise more, or both.

^^ha. Seriously, yerba mate is an herb that is comparable to cannabis in its positive effects on a person. I drink it before toking, and I haven't gotten the munchies to nearly the same extent as before. Plus, it totally curbed my appetite for alcohol. Because of its detoxifying effects, it clears out whatever residue is in my body that makes me want to drink again. Mate is maybe as effective an appetite suppressant as any diet pill, but radically healthier

i went on atkins recently, and though it is hard, especially the first two weeks, in 3 weeks i have lost 20 pounds, over 27 inches overall, 2 sizes, and have great muscle tone..of course, i incorprated the diet with cardio and weight work, but even just doing the diet is amazing for weight loss..i think it depends why you are overweight and how much overweight.....
