I like it too! But not as legislation. Just as a guideline for buyer-friendly manufacturing. . . . Then we consumers could refuse to buy the phones that didn't fit the universal charger and effect change through buying power.

Think how much less plastic, wire and metal waste would be put into the environment. Think how much easier it'd be if they were universal. Think how much money consumers could spend on something else. I'm sure all the cell phone manufacturers cringe at the thought of losing that profit. But they could so easily be made uniform. Great idea, Andrue!

Partly because Ferrari's are ugly in a lot of eyes, and being all the same would suck ...
