There was this book series called My Teacher Is an Alien or something like that.
Anyway, the guy has two pets, one of them is this slug that you rip in half to create two slugs, and the other was this four legged blue colored thing with an eyeball on an antennae that could talk to its owners mind and vice versa.

A centaur for sure! Half beefy man, but with the nether regions of a horse... Empress Catherine the Great would have agreed with me before her untimely death in a shall we say 'horse riding' accident (notice I did not say horseBACK riding, lol....)

I'm sorry but when I read it I had to look it up to see if it was true, if it helps any there was a man that died a while back from "riding" a horsethx Pat I feel better now... but the Empress!!! And her harness!!! It was picturesque!!! It was freakish!!! It was was SO appropriate for that era of corsets and propriety!!!
