We finally got 4 nice plants going in soil, but it seems to be going real slow , compared to hydro. and was wanting to know is it possible and SAFE to transfer them to hydro. pots to finish them off, they r about 3 weeks old at this point.

Way to much trouble and it will put them in shock and slow down your grow,peace

I know for sure that you can, if careful take a plant from soil to Hyrdo after 2-3 weeks. I did it with these plants. I made sure water I washed with was luke warm, and was very, very careful. I got most of them soil washed off, but a little had to stay. These are what my plants look like now. Not one of them went into shock.

I do this with tomato seedlings...I have done it with pot as well.
As stated above a luke warm bath is best, but if rootbound, I have found that the peat inside the rootball won't wash out easily;
So I just transfer to hydroton filled netpot and no worries.
It is not as hard or scary as it sounds. Just do it. Make sure not to damage roots.
a third alternative I have found is to take a small container to act as an overflow tray and fill 1" deep with perlite. After that fill water to top of perlite, dig a hole for the plant and set in...In a couple of days the roots will have worked into the perlite, and thus you can transplant to hydroton filled netpots and no peat will fall into rez.
