I'm in week 6 of 12/12 and my buds look lovely but on the stem's on the main cola's have shoot up and the very top's of some of the plant's are very small?

It's grown about 6" higher than the main cola, should I cut it off coz I don't think I'm gonna get anything from the very top and it's getting to close to the light? :confused: ?
