Instead of taking SATs, do a year of community college for prerequisites for the school you're transferring to- then transfer!
So easy!

thats what ill probably end up doing, everyone I know who's done it says it makes it easier your first year while your adjusting, kinda like a pre-college. Im probably still gonna take the SATs tho.

Yea I'd think so. I mean even if you do go to precollege I'm still glad I took the SAT. I think this is a very cons iterate post you know? I'm glad we still care about our future American tokers.

Yea, although I'm good at tests (a pretty good SAT score and a 31 on the ACT) this is another way that should work. Just make sure whatever credits you take at the community college will, for sure, transfer to the college you want to get into.
id rather just take the ACT...i did well on the act practice
but ill end up taking the SATs... yeah thats right im a poser :/

Thats what I did....I went to community college for 2 years then I transferred to a University...and now here I am.
Easy as cake, almost makes me wish I had gotten my GED and dropped out of high school. I would probably already be done with college had I done that.
id rather spend 2 hours taking a test than a year of school myself, not that it applies to me, but id take it just to see how i did before i did a year of class in its place
im not saying anything wrong with that route, but doing it to get around the sats is nor really more convenient

I only took the ACTs. My top four university picks accepted me based on those scores and I was good to go. I took one look at the SAT pretest and thought it had been designed by a psychotic monkey on crack, so I skipped taking it. I especially recommend just taking the ACT if you are weak in math as I was. Trust me, its easier to squeak by on that than if you take the SAT.

It's not a year extra of school, it's just not a university. It still is just as good, all the classes you take at the community college transferes to the University so that you don't have to pay university prices for the classes you took, and they still count towards your credits toward your degree.
I transferred into University as nearly a Junior.

yes, i agree with all that , in fact i realized how stupid i was for paying university prices freshman year and just came back to comm college. my point was that going to community college to avoid taking a test is a little excessive. all the things you said are good reason to go, dont sweat it baby

It's not avoiding the test, the test is pointless. Why go straight to university and pay those high prices when you can pay less than half(usually) to take the same classes at community college level?
Makes no sense to me.
