Hey guys,

When I try and give somebody rep points for a post, I get the message saying I can't give rep for the same post twice. It happens no matter which post I try and give points for.. Any ideas?

When I was a cafe member I got weird things happening but,,, with time they straightened out... Sundance frequents this board,,, maybe he will take a look into it,but I think it's just a propagation thing...

How many times in the past have you repped peeps??? is this like your first time???

maybe you're double clicking the thing. Sometimes I do it when my computer is going kind of slow. Ask someone who you tried to give rep to if they got it or not.

Maybe clear your cache and cookies too...

Hey thanks for the replies, dudes..

Skink, yeah I got your rep! I can recieve it, no problem... I just don't seem able to rep people any more. I thought about the double-clicking thing 'cause my PC has a habit of doing stupid things like that (I'm using an old, slow, stupid win98 PC because my other one died), but it's definately not that. I'll try clearing my cookies etc, and then I'll close my browser, log back in and try and rep you, Skink.. If you can reply here to let me know if it worked that would be great..

I have that problem sometimes too....found that if I right click and click on open link it will open. Sometimes it work ok but.....

i also have this problem, i repped someone when this feature became available... and i havent been able to rep the same person since, so i know its based on time, and no matter how much other people i rep i cant rep that same person, and its the same with everyone i have ever repped, so it seems u can only ever rep someone once.... any ideas?

Try doing what I did.. Clear all your cookies and your cache, restart your browser, and log back in.. It seemed to work for me, I hope it works for you too dude :)

Skink, 100MillionBillionFold, how does that work? I thought at first that when you gave someone rep they got 1 point, but I see now that it doesn't work like that.. And how/why would I have a 'strong rep hand'? I don't understand the whole rep thing.. A quick rundown would be appreciated! :p

Length of membership and post count also play a role in your rep hand...

i actually do that on a regular basis, still doesnt help tho :confused:

They dont help your rep, they help your "rep hand", or the rep you can leave for people. Ex: every 50 posts you get, is another 1 point you can leave for someone when you rep them. You can only gain rep points by being repped by someone.
