View Full Version : Blunts and Honey?

So yea, I heard once that some people use honey to seal their blunts or somethin like that. What exactly do you do with the honey?

Do you use the honey to hold together the seam of the inner leaf? Do you use the honey to coat the inner leaf making it easier to roll onto the outer leaf? Do you just simply coat the outer leaf of the rolled blunt?

Also.. what advantages does this provide and can somethin else be used instead of honey because I don't think I have any and I wanna try this later tonight..

Thanks

you use it to seal it after you fill it, put a little on one edge and connect the edges (creating a blunt roll) and then let it dry

advantages: strong hold, slower burn, nice taste

disadvantages: uh, its sticky?

its worth it, i seal all my jays with it

it keeps that wrap to stick together tighter..also gives a taste to the tip..

Hmm.. I see.

I wonder if I took the tiniest scoop of jelly and watered it down a bit... similar result?

i wouldnt bet on it, it dosnt posses the stick that honey does...

as an alternative you could use corn syrup or molasses (small bits) for a nice hold and nice taste

I know it's easy to overlook, but you're smoking sugar, which in no way whatsoever is good for you. I've smoked a couple blunts with syrup and it's definitely different and definitely better, but don't make a habit out of it unless you dont give a shit about smoking sugar.

Edit: it burns slow as a motherfucker too.

Sugar smoke is black and thick and I can't imagine that it's any good for your lungs.

But I mean, I smoke Black and Milds, so...

if i use honey i spread it between the lighter colored leaf and the dark brown colord leaf and your hands dont get stickyand burns slower...best with a green leaf honey dutch...unwrap the outer leaf and bust the inner open roll then rewrap it..

A lot of people here are wrong, wish I got here sooner.

Honey is made up of a natural sugar. It is made from honeybees tapping flowers. Not nearly the same as that processed stuff you buy at the store. C'mon now...

The only reason you do it is to make the blunt burn slower. That's it. Maybe for taste, but it's not really noticable. No increase in high at all, and if you need honey to seal a fucking blunt, then you don't know how to roll a blunt.

Just put a slight glaze over the inside of the blunt. You put so little that there should be no volume to the layer. Roll the blunt, and put it in the freezer for a half hour to an hour. When you light it, take an extra second to light it good. Your blunt will now take a much longer time to burn.

It's really only necessary if you are smoking with a group.

Thanks JimBob I think you put an end to this thread. I didn't end up tryin the honey seal cause I didn't have any and didn't wanna mess it up by trying some weak alternative. I do know how to roll pretty damn good blunts and thought the honey would give it a little somethin extra for time duration purposes.

Thanks all.
