i hate theses questions. my grandmother was adopted and back then, children usually never found out who thier real parents were. my grandmother was even adopted because she looked like the folks the chose her. she never figured out who her real mother was, so we dont know what my background on my mother's side was.
my fathers side....your typical german-english blood. nothing interesting. i don't looke german or english, i have olive skin and dark brown hair and eyes.

My dad moved here from Spain when he was 25, and the rest of his family is still there. I'm 50% Spanish, and on my Mom's side I'm 1/8 Irish, 1/8 German, and 1/4 Hungarian.

People think that Spanish people are Hispanic but they are wrong. Most Spanish people are white. It's only the southern Spanish that are darker skinned because they bred with the Moors when they invaded.

We could say 75% of my most recent bloodline comes from the Dominican Republic. The other 25% is unknown.

HOWEVER,
From history I know, in the 1500's all the indigenous people of the Dominican Republic (ie Hispaniola) were basically slaughter (the Taino People). The island was mainly inhabited by slave owners(Europeans) and their slaves. So it's really unknown but i would have to guess, due to my last name that my heritage is Spanish.

On the other hand you helped colonise tracts of the Isle of Man, Iceland, the US, Scotland and even the Baltic. You explored everywhere that could be explored. Our language and laws are based on scandinavian tennets and our oldest parliament (Tynwald in the Isle of Man) is Norse. You had influences on art, mythology and our course of history, and a major part of the UK population has norse blood in them.

Now do you think we can relate?:)
