anybody else like them?

Their music is so freaking good. They can play metal, prog, soft stuff, ANYTHING.

I've seen them twice live and I have all their albums.

Just wondering if anybody on the boards likes this fantastic, yet, under-rated band.

Over rated and boring in my opinion. They are talented though, I'll give them that. Jon Petrucci is really over rated though.

what i dont get is why do ppl post in a thread if its something they dont like.

but anywayyysss i love Dream Theater. a friend of mine showed me some of there stuff about 4 or 5 years ago. Those guys got mad talent and watching a Live set was something else. Never got to get the chance to see them live but if they were ever near by id make the trip.i guess you could say there underrated but they got quite the fan base IMO. ppl that know them Love them. The 1 dvd that i really like was Live At Budokan, but i love all there stuff and all there 17+ cds and Mike Portnoy is 1 killer drummer.

yes i love dream theater as well. the dance of eternity could be the greatest instrumental of all time. i would also like to add that petrucci is one hell of a guitarist

Dream Theater is amazing. I got into them 2 years ago, and still love them. They basically got me into heavier music. Them, and Metallica.
I love there cd Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance. On the first disc those five songs all are incredible.
