so our recent batch of clones hasn't really been looked after and some of them arn't lookin good.

I think two will die, these two, and i'm wondering why.

it looks kinda like an internal infection possibly caused by an embolism or dirty equipment?

thoughts?

to note: we cut the clones, and then cut them again under water, specifically to prevent embolisms. We have only had 1 clone ever die on us, and that was the very first one we ever took. We have successfully cloned dozens of plants now, so this is quite frusterating.

hey guys, where'd that soil come from? I'm not a fan of cloning into soil, although plenty of people do it fine.

are you using powder, gel, or liquid?

you know how much I love the combination of rapidrooters (clean and pH appropriate) and gel (seals the cut site better than powder).

I don't even make my second cut under water.

The other thing I'm thinking- were those under a dome, and were they actually TOUCHING the dome? I've seen that happen, the browning upper growth, when it comes into contact with the wet plastic dome for long enough to get all rotty

Didn't touch the top, it's a big dome

we used powder hormone

the soil, is soil-less consists of peatmoss (know you love it) and perlite 50/50
has worked well in the past
