Anyone else enjoy cleaning their pipe?

not really a time killer for me i soak it in bacardi 151 for about a day then throw it in a bowl of water put it in the microwave and 10 min intervales all i have to do is check it every 10mins then dry it

Yeah, I sometimes obsess over it. I have a nice glass piece that I constantly clean with pipe cleaners (and sometimes isopropryl alcohol). I love it when I can pull out huge chunks of resin, its quite entertaining. Cleaning my bong however is a different story lol.

I use Iso Alcohol to clean it, and that part isn't bad. It's when I run hot water through to get it spotless. I make a sticky mess out of my sink, and in my glass pieces, I can't take them apart to get chunks of black tar out of there, so most of the time, I'm using a long instrument of some kind to break it into smaller pieces, to get it all out.

So yeah, it's a big, smelly mess for me to clean my pipes.

Cleaning out the tar beforehand is a sticky mess too. The tar gets all over my fingers and clothes. I hate it! I need one of those friends who will clean my pipes just to get high. :p

Do you know what section they would be in? :) The Wal-Marts are huge here and are in sections like Hardware or Sporting Goods, etc...so if you know where abouts they would be, that would be super helpful.

They are in the checkout for the ciggarette line usually! They sooo own, but I suppose regular pipe cleaners that you would use at an art class might work too.

I would enjoy it more if the shit would actually get completely cleaned! It's so annoying because I didn't think about the cleaning part when I got the clear pipe. It's clear and there is a small spot of resin stuck to the bowl except on the inside. And it WONT come off I try everything! The thing never gets completely cleaned but it looks decent, except for that one spot with resin I can't get off. I just want to break it and scrape it :mad:.

Safety pin ends or threading needles are good for cleaning screens if you have patience.

I cleaned my pipe and a friends..both are like 3 years old..I clean mine constantly...I hate the taste of resin on a green hit and love the look a fresh clean pipe..lol I just mix some alch (I used rum last time..) super hot water (cause the alch was room temp) and a little epson salt (I heard some one say the salt helps..i'm not sure if it did)...Let both of them sit in the water/salt/rum for a good 20 mins (5 mins of microwaving when the water n shit cooled down (smoked a J and played some xbox)..then i washed 'em out in the sink..got most of the resin out and i just finished 'em up with paper towels, paperclips and q-tips... cleanest both of them have been since they were new..lol

I'm gonna put my glass bowl in a ziplock bag of water for 2 days straight and take it out and run water through it and bang it against the sink. Maybe that'll work lol!

lol...I always used to stick to hot water only..I was really picky about what went into what I was gonna smoke out of..Hot water has never failed me yet..but then again I do get all OCD about cleaning my pipes..if i start they have to look like i just bought them and haven't smoke outta them yet..I'll spend easily 2 hours cleaning my pipe

I don't know about you. But there is nothing like smoking a clean bowl after it has been resinated for about like a month or so. Then you start to remember why you loved bowls in the first place lol.

I've had my "use it all the time" piece soaking in 91% rubbing alcohol for about 24 hours. I'll scrub it with a tooth brush, and put it back together later tonight. I wouldn't say I enjoy cleaning it, but I do enjoy smoking out of a clean piece enough to clean it once every 2 weeks or so. My pipe also has a "resin trap", when I scrape it out, I get a nice little ball of resin, about the size of a 1/3 of a pencil eraser. I use it to pick up all the little bits of keif in my nugget jar... Just knead and stick, knead and stick... That little ball tastes like shit when you smoke it, but it gives a very nice buzz indeed! :bong:

I remember reading something about tetrahydrocannabinol decaying to useless cannabinol that doesn't get you high, but I'm not sure if that really happened or I was just hella high or something.

You might get a little high... Your stomach isn't that great at processing THC. For the best results, you need to dissolve it in something you can digest... Oil, butter, cheese, hard liquor... Decarboxylation does make THC into an easier to absorb chemical, but it doesn't make it soluble in water.
