View Full Version : Being watched?

So, after having nearly my whole crop hermie on me I ordered some beans last night. Today, while I was working in the yard a white Crown Vic with extremely dark window tint parked across the street for a very long time. I don't grow outdoors anymore and don't sell to anyone I don't know VERY well (years) so they can't get a warrant to come in and I wouldn't have any trouble if they came in the yard but I'm a little spooked. I'm a grower and pretty far removed from the local drug scene. I don't associate with other dealers. I keep a very low profile and avoid people that I know are in trouble all the time or are being watched. I've never even had a speeding ticket. I'm thirty, dress like a grown-up, button up shirts, no baggy pants or pot leaf shirts or hats. I have well connected freind that keeps me informed upcoming busts and investigations. Haven't heard from him in a while. I have two attorneys on retainer just incase. Could they be watching my internet use and finacial records with out a warrant? Am I paranoid?

Fuck it! Scrapping my grow. Put my plants off in some woods. Dismantled my lights and other equipment. My grow room is consealed from the rest of my house secret passageway and such, but I put my guitars, amps, recording equipment and other valuables in there. Gonna use it for a small studio/panic room. I'll be in the hospital all next week and was apprehensive about leaving my plants alone for that long anyway. I hope that I don't come home to a busted door and trashed house.

What reason do think they're after you?

I just think it's pretty strange that an undercover cop car parked across from my house for 4 hours the day after I odered seeds nobody ever got out of the car and I live in rural area. My only neighbor is an 80 year old lady.

Well you could always greet him with a plate of donuts and a cold glass of milk........welcome to the neighborhood!

Better safe than in prison. Even though most of my crop got fucked up I still had about 50 clones in my cabinet. 50 plants is some pretty deep shit. I'm just a very cautious person. I have osteoporosis, prison life in a shithole Louisiana facility would be bad. Louisana prisons are pretty rough.

Oh definitely, I wouldn't get locked up for that long for some plants. The laws are fucked up.

Man if your just imagining this I feel bad for you. I think that your probably just paranoid. I doubt that any undercover cop is watching you, I mean i suppose they'd just come to your house.

I imagine they were looking to see what I was planting outside. Window tint was too dark to see exactly what they up too. Maybe the old lady has a huge grow op herself. I just can't risk it. It was definately a cop car. Parish Sherrif plates. Better the US gov't plates. Oh, I sould explain why a private grower like myself had so many plants. I like to experiment with different strains, crossbreeding and such. I love the hobby and like many of my hobbies I took it a little far.

Some thoughts...
Go and speak to them. Act like you don't know that they are cops. Tell them you noticed that their car was there for a while and ask if they need any assistance. Dead battery? Need a jump? Need me to call a tow truck? Be a concerned neighborly person....
If they were watching you - you would probably never see them. They don't want to tip you off.
Or you could call the police and tell them that a shady looking vehicle is loitering in the area:)

Good idea, I agree with this. It is always better safe then sorry though, the hell you'd go through for getting caught greatly outweighs not being paranoid (as long as you arn't over paranoid and crazy like that guy who was here before and though his coworkers wanted him dead or something).

hey id be paranoid also ,with a crown vic watching my house in a rural area.you did the right thing bro better safe than twenty years in prison.im in Canada and ive been watched also but the penelties here are a joke no jail time for first offence no matter how big of a grow.so i didnt dismantle anything and nothing happened anyway since i dont have any traffic coming to my house.after a few weeks of watching my house they just left never to be seen again and that was 2 years ago.so stay safe bro keep out of jail and remember paranoia is a good thing.

No further developements. Was in hospital last week. I had freind check on my place and all seems normal. I had new fencing and gates installed around the property. Once the native vegitation covers the fence along with all the moring glory and HBW my house will be all but invisible. It used to be this way 'till Katrina. Still spooked. I may be paranoid, but I'm not in jail like lots of growers that were not careful about security/secrecy. I've started another grow in another location NL & KC36. Thinking about trying the KC36 outside it gets huge and is very light hungry, gotta keep the bill within reason.

Um the scared get sloppy. Thats what alot of police precinct teach. If they get you worried and moving your shit around gives them some probable cause and it gives them the opp to bust you if they see any movement of the illegal persuasion.........on that note I would actually go out of my way to continuously call the cops like two or three times a day. If if they don't move then you could probably get some loitering violation bs to get them out. I heard about someone in Virgina who got a meter maid friend of his to constantly right tickets on a cop car. Just make sure there presence is known. I hope they haven't come back ......Your braver than me, bc the first thing i would think at that point would be robbers. Think about it the tint seems kinda off:wtf:

as much as i know you don't want the cops at your house i would have called them and reported a suspicious looking car. just a conspiricy theroy here. if your just talking about a vanity tag that say police i can't immagine that would be hard to get ahold of...i think a rival grower is going to take your grow!!!!! lol

kind of like that movie 23 with Jim Carrey. Think about anything long enough and you'll MAKE yourself see it everywhere.

so the tint was to dark to see what they were doing? that sounds pretty low, in texas the laws are 35% tint is as low as u can go, and u can easily see through that. i got 5% on my truck and u cant see anything from the outside, i'd say maybe someone that was gonna jack ur shit
