I was just browsing another forum when I came across this. It's basically a way to make a THC tincture that can be taken under the tongue.

I'm a huge chemistry nut, and from what I'm seeing this will actually work. Although the recipe can be sped up using a little constant agitation instead of waiting for two months.

Several flaws that can be fixed but overall it looks legit.

Any opinions or can anyone verify it working?

Blessings dear ones...

I would like to share with you a process for an excellent non-alcoholic tincture. This sublingual Cannabis Medicine is spreading quickly through our Medical Community in Oregon.

You will need ONE CUP of food grade glycerin.
ONE OUNCE of top grade bud....chopped up with scissors or a burst in a cuisinart.
A Quart jar with a good SEAL.

Put the ingredients in the jar and give it a shake for about 5-10 minutes a day for two months. (IT IS WORTH the TIME!)

Press out the glycerin and strain well; and put in brown bottles with eyedropper.

I use a professional food press, so I get back the total amount of glycerin plus a little extra. A ricer will also work well if you line it with cheesecloth.

The medicine is as good as what you put into it. I find this a very good way to medicate at social functions. I carry mine in an herb tincture bottle. A drop or a dropper under the tongue is a good way to find relief.

can't glycerin cause diarea?

In massive quantities, probably. One or two drops? Nah.

I think you're thinking phenolphthalein.

And you can get FOOD grade at GNC I'm pretty sure.

It's just using glycerin as opposed to high-proof alcohol.

Check the recipe section for Green Dragon, the alcohol variant that is more common.

I've always wanted to try sublingual.

What exactly does the agitation do and why would doing it constantly speed up the process? How much would it speed the process up by?

I feel like if I'm only going to put a few drops on my tongue, going through an ounce by a quart wouldn't work.

Like, it would take at least six months, if I was doing it constantly. And that would mean that I wasn't getting that much THC.

In general, most chemical reactions can be sped up by adding energy in some form, either by mixing/agitation, heating, etc. A few basic principles of chemistry at work, IE reaching activation energy for reactions, increasing reaction rate by improving contact between reactants, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I've done any chem.

You pretty much got it right. One very important thing you missed is the fact of the surface area increasing because a new location is being soaked with glycerin every time you agitate it.

I use a magnetic stirrer that i built.
