SMARTEST THING WHILE BAKED

Numerous threads have centred around the dumbest or craziest thing anyone's ever done when baked....

Well, here's one about the smartest thing you've done/said baked.

For me it was when I was high with my friend and I said "You know what, man, death is what you think. Like, the body and the mind are separate entities, so death frees the mind from the body and allows it to experience perception without having the limitations of needing sensation for it. So it's like an eternal lucid dream, if you realize it...if not, you'll probably see what you believe. I.e. if you're a Christian, you'll see either heaven or hell depending on what you think you deserve, and if you're more open, you'll just have many different visions. Omg, what if it's already happened and we don't realize it? Or what if life and death aren't really that different?"

After about a minute, he turns to me and says dude, thats the smartest thing I've ever heard.

What about you guys?

I think about deep stuff all the time like that. It just kind of happens. Your mind just races away and you dont even realize it. The only trouble I have is that its hard to tell the person beside me what im thinking exactly. Words are kind of hard to come by sometimes.

I bought a little small notebook to write some of my high ideas in cause I wanted to stop forgetting all these great ideas. But when i read it sober all i found was a bunch of retarded ideas that make no sense at all.

I dunno my mind really races when i shower baked, just closing my eyes in the hot water my mind goes berzerk.

Whenever I get into that deep thinking phase, I don't say much. I stay to myself pretty much, and think of all these issues and return with a solution, and almost immediatley forget it several seconds later and think "damn I'm hungry".

I was just thinking if you loose all of ur memory are you still you?? like i mean imagine right now u forgot everything who you were why u were here your name everything. Would you be the same person or a totally new person. Its hard for me to spit this out lol. I think loosing all ur memorys would be the equivilent to dieing and being reborn as a new person like that religion with the thing with like 8 arms.

what if you didnt loose your memory, you just made a concious decision to change. like what if you decided tomarrow to stop smoking (assuming it is a big part of your life), and by cutting out a chunk of who you are, would you still be you? if smoking used to be a big part of your life, can you honestly say you are the same you as you were back when you smoked? you would no longer be the same person as you were, and would most likly even make different decisions then the "old" you would (maybe not alot, but some).

my friends and i agreed that death would just be nothing. u wouldn't see anything. hear anything. it would just be nothing. silence and darkness.

maybe you move onto a new life, who knows untill we get there.

I frequently go on msn while high and talk to my friends, they tell me their problems, and I give them advice on how to fix their problems. Advice I give when I'm high pretty much always seems to make people's lives better.

Also, a little while ago I came up for the idea for a story while stoned (it's posted in the stories section)... i developped and wrote the story the next day while on herbal ecstasy exploding happiness (the purple kind) and it's some of the best stuff I've written in awhile.

fun. I invented a religion. If I could remember all the intricacies, I'd tell it, but it would take a lot. I spent my whole entire high once (about 4 hours that time) explaining it to my buddy.

that is an interesting question that i have asked myself before. I'm glad to know we are on the same level of thought here. What you are thinking is that what makes us who we are is our personality, which is a product of our past experiences and memory. I think that losing your memories is close to death because you are given a clean conscience/personality and are basically reborn again, brand-new. The religion u are thinking of is probably Buddhism or even Hinduism.

Myself, I kinda believe in reincarnation, but I like to think in a way that is harmonious with science. I think alot about mortality while I'm high because I enter a thought-conscious, observant state of mind much different from my passive, thoughtless self. I develop my theories on religion when I am high. In a nutshell, I believe that the Universe is made up of matter and energy all around in the form of atoms and photons. When we die we return to our form as atoms because we have no life-giving energy in our body. Our body's matter is released back into the Earth and the atoms that used to be our body are dispersed to and fro. So in essence, we become one with the cycle of energy and matter that makes up our universe.

So...I think that our personality or what we percieve to be our "mind" is a figment of our imagination - our minds are just organized chemical reactions.

I wrote an essay for some college scholarship a couple years back...

I didn't want to go in the first place, so I just got really high before I did it, and don't remember much of what I wrote. LOL I was the first one done, too.

A couple weeks later I get a call, telling me I ended up winning the essay contest and getting a full-scholarship.

Dunno if this qualifies but I took an SAT baked one day..

Yea sounds like one of the more STUPID things you could do, but it wasn't my first SAT and I had already gotten a score that I was content with. My mom basically made me take it and so I blazed before out of spite lol. Anyway what I guess you could say was SMART about it was that I actually did pretty well lol. Well better than average haha :rasta:
