Hi there, I have been growing for a couple of years now, and i have had a question that i've been wanting to ask for a while now. If i was smoking weed around, or blew smoke directly at the plants, would it have any affect on the health of them? Would it help them in anyway?

My theory was it helped in potency...but i am not certain on this. Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers:thumbsup: ,

actually, it's quite harmful to the plants; smoke causes the stomata to close, and the plant cannot respire.

i advise you not blow smoke on your plants.

hahaha yeh... it wont affect potency, not in a good way anyway... scarlet's right... your plant needs clean air, i wouldnt be surprised if the tar in the smoke could actually coat the leaf and stop the chloraphyll from doing its job...

i DONT recommend it

Yea, what Scarlet said. It's not good. I realize you are most likely talking about weed smoke...but you might also wanna do a quick search on Mosaic Tobacco Virus. This is caused by contact with tobacco smoke, obviously. It's not a good thing.

WITH that being said, I know many people smoke in their grow rooms and have no noticeable negative effects. I don't think it's a good idea. It certainly doesn't help anything...but at a low level, it might not hurt much either. Safe side...don't do it. :D
