Lets face it, stoners are more prone to own a lava lamp.

You own a lava lamp? Whats it look like? When do you use it?

I used to only turn it on at night when I had my black light on and was tokin'.

I left mine on overnight though and had it on all day. I think I'mma use it more often.

I wonder if its dangerous to leave it on too long.

I lost the cap that goes on top when we moved :(

I won mine in a raffle, currently I don't have the glass part with the wax in it on the light, it's red wax with a black base, I need to get a new one

i got one downstairs... they get pretty hot...

i should think the bulb or the fuse would break before it got 'dangerous'

they tested this crap on mythbusters..

unless you put the glass directly on a stove or some other heating element.. it's fine... keep it on it's base and it's perfectly safe...

on myth busters they proved they can be lethal if put on a stove for instance... the glass ends up shattering and shooting big shards all directions...

they tested it because ther was a guy awhile back who apparently died from his lava lamp, when a flying shard peirced his heart.

Thats cool, I'mma leave mine on all the time now. I hate when I turn it on night and it takes like an hour to warm up and start flowin'.

I'll probably turn it off when I'm at school and stuff, but other than that I'mma keep it on.

I don't own a lava lamp per say, but I've got a red sphere globe-thingy that is the next best thing..and was probably twice as cheap..

I've had a green one with blue liquid and a black base since I was about 13.

I leave it on for days at a time and it's fine. Only problems I had was the "lava" stopped swirling around and settled into a blob at the bottom after about the second day straight.

Bit off subject but I always have these crazy dreams when I sleep with it on. Know it sounds like bullshit but it's true and the dreams never fail to come about when I have it on...

Thanks

I've had mine on for 2 straight days now. Its not even that hot, I can touch it for as long as I want. The glass part that is.

Its still flowin', I'll be interested to see if it settles at the bottom.

Lol, well it really was the best way to describe it...

Instead of a liquid, it's just a tiny bulb. It kinda looks like a ball of fire, or a star...or...something..

Here's what it looks like. It's pretty cool I think. ~
