someone tell me why.... i know pictures would help but i dont have a clue how to upload them.. some seedlings in closet under sun system floro. in fox farm ocean forest soil bout three weeks old. other girls clones probly 6 wks veg. in sealded room where recently added co2 and changed nutes from earth juice to canna. i know they have stunnted growth i think due to no co2 but anyway some leaves due have darker brown outline like not enough calcium. but would that cause leaves to be brittle?:wtf:

are they are like this or just the seedlings? Ocean Forest may be a little hot for plants that young, so that would explain the seedlings.
If you have the pics on your computer, then just use the "manage attachments" button on the reply control panel to upload your pics

Well, I'm wondering if you are experiencing what I am in the Cab of Life. (http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/95469-journal-madman-cab-life-3.html)..At first, I thought it was Mg deficiency, but now, after what CG told me, I think he may be right, that it is a P def. I have to look into it a little further...check the LOG (http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/95469-journal-madman-cab-life-3.html) and tell me if that is what you are talking about. I don't have much time to post, so I'm not going to re-post the pictures, but they are in the log, if you wanna compare. :D Hope you get that sorted out, bud.
Oh, one more note, yours are in veg and the ones I have in the log are in bloom, so there might be a difference to keep in mind. :) It'd be nice if you posted pics. :)
I'll have more close up pics of the damage on the log asap. You might try searching for the Plant Abuse Chart as well. :D

I use "Ocean Forest" from seed thru harvest and think it's the best potting soil I've found!
I believe you have a PH problem. Get yourself one of those cheap PH test kits (under 10 bucks) and check your water. I'll bet it's close to or above 9.0. But there is an easy and cheap fix for high PH...Brita Water Filter works great! It takes 9.0+ tapwater through the filter and into the pitcher at a perfect 6-6.5. I have 2 so there's less time to fill up the water jugs but until I started watching the PH I too was getting those rust-copper colored patches in the leaves, usually starting from the center and growing out to the edges. I'm telling ya, Brita Water Filter w/pitcher will solve your PH problem (15 bucks at Walmart plus you'll need a 5-pack of filters to do an entire grow)!
New, fresh cut clones should be given water only for 1st 2 weeks or until they're rooted and ready for a pot. I spray mine 3-4 times/day and keep them under a clear plastic dome to hold in the humidity and warmth (they like it around 80-85...steamy and still). It's also very improtant to use clean, PH-ed water or if not available use distilled water.
But don't worry yourself about the trace elements like calicium! You're only making it much harder than it is and trace elements will not be your problem as long as you're using top quality and fresh potting soil such as Fox Farms.
