i was thinking after reading the thread about how our world is messed uptoday.... and it made me think, what if stoners ruled the world? if you were given a deserted island and anything you want and you could bring anyone you want what would it be like?

i think america is a pretty good model for an ideal society. Just needs a bunch of tweaks (like legalizing certain things, and making other things illegal), and a far smaller population.

But I would have to be ruler over this new society to keep it in check, so like america without all the democracy or capitalism.

And I still get to beat you to death if i'm bored. so you may not want to come to my island.

i agree with all of that except i do think we need police, but i think that they should only be there if you need them ... but then agian if there was no violence or hate and pot was legal then ur right no cops

I hate to steer this thread in another direction, cause I do enjoy this thread :) , I just thought you were a bit off in your analysis of the US (And I did read the entire article).

It is just when you say something like "so like america without all the democracy", I think you need to step back an really look at US policies and how they carry themselves in global affiars. All I'm saying is that I think the US needs a bit more than a "tweak" here and there to be considered a good model. I think they need an overhaul of the way they run themselves. But there is still hope for them yet and they do make many postiive contributions to the global community :thumbsup:

Nothing like America. The "tweaks" I was referring to were fundamental changes that would entirely change the basis of everything America is about.

Really it's more like a socialist dictatorship.

I think we would also have to implement a law that would require drowning anyone who doesn't "get it".
