What's the pros and cons of using...

the method of hotknifing? I have some resin here and I want to smoke it because I'm not sure when I, or IF, can get some this weekend. Might be later tonight, might be tomorrow. Might be Monday....

So, I have a bowl I can use it to smoke, or I can use hotknifing. I heard that hotknifing gets you pretty screwed up, but...ya know.

Any help appreciated.

Get a friend, and hot knife that shit! be prepared to cough a lung up though, cuz it can get pretty harsh. But i love it. My choice of blazin up right there.

My personal choice is the bowl. especially if parentals are an issue plus you can walk somewhere to do it or something. i like that option. but by no means is there anything wrong with hot knifing, go for it too.

pros: gets you high as all fuck. very conservative on weed (you wanna get the most out of your bud, this is going to be the way right here, something about this method that uses next to none, and gets you really blown) that's about it.
cons: hard to do by yourself (but not impossible). more risk to getting caught do to the methods and materials involved. harsh as fuckin hell (you wanna kill your throat, this right here is what will do it for you, and there's no real way to make it less harsh except breaking off the very bottom of a thick glassed bottle sticking it in the freezer for a few hours and using that in place of the funnel contrapment)

to sum it up. there's quite a few diffrent materials involved in using this method, therefore there will be more "contaminated" (meaning materials for drugs and drug usage) lying around in your room, thus increasing the chances of getting caught by parents or other un-favorable people. if doing it alone, can become very complicated, and sometimes just plain out be worth more than the trouble. tho, this process does use a severly less ammount of overall bud to achieve the same effects, even over a gravity bong, and it gets you pretty damn smashed if you did it right. i woudlnt' suggest this as a long term smoking method (meaning someone who likes to fill up a bowl and take a hit there and here) because those knives get pretty fuckin hot, and i tend to burn myself after a few hits because i get "stupid" and careless.

Only downsides I can think of are that it takes two people (unless you've had practice) and after a couple of hits you'll be playing with red hot sharp objects whilst extremely high.

umm... there are ways to cool the smoke down, simply cut off the botum of a 20oz pop bottel, and jam the bottum into the inside of the funnel then poke holes in that and then jam cruched ice into that so that it wont fall out

yea but there's nothing that can be done about it, some of them, such as this one that didn't really get an answer, and can still help people i guess are "ok" to bring up, but some of the ones brought up could offer no info to other people, and the op is probably long gone.

hot kniving my friend is where you turn your stove on so its really hot, get little balls of weed ready on a non burnable surface, then put 2 knifes on the red hot element and heat them until they are red hot then dab the knife onto a bit of weed and press the 2 tips of the knives together and collect the smoke with a funnel or a paper towel roll, or a half a 2 litre bottle.
